Summary: After a fight between her parents, Alena gets scared that her dad is gonna leave her mom and her behind to go back to Peggy.

Alena was in her room, desperately trying to tune out the yelling of her parents in the living room.

She had been sketching in an attempt to distract herself, in vane.

Lately, the tension was thick and Nat and Steve fought over every single thing.

Now, it was over the newest invention by Tony, which made it possible for people to go back in time.

A stray tear hit Alenas sketch, landing right where she had drawn the eye of the person she was sketching.

The 15 year old slammed her pencil down, breaking it in half.

She quietly slipped out of her room, standing by a wall, which concealed her from her parents gazes.

Alena on the other hand could see their expressions and gestures and could hear every word.

,,And if he asked you, would you do it? Go back and live your life differently?"

Natasha inquired, her expression torn between fury and anxiousness.

The 15 year old held her breath as she waited for her fathers response. She was scared if she was honest.

She knew her dad had a life back in the 40s, he had Peggy.

,,Maybe I would want to go home, Natasha. Maybe I would want to go back and live my life with Peggy"

He finally responded though shutting up the moment the words left his lips.

Alena swallowed hard as tears shot into her eyes once more.

Natashas gaze faltered for one split second, displaying hurt and betrayal. Then, it went to being completely emotionless, pursing her lips.

,,Why don't you go then, if that's what you want? I'm not holding you back"

She asked, her voice a mix between venom and hurt.

Steve glared at her.

,,Maybe I will"

He seethed before grabbing his jacket and slamming the door.

Alena winced at the sound of the door being slammed shut.

Slowly, she slid down the wall she was leaning on, her brain imagining every possible scenario which could follow.

,,Свет? (Light?)"

Natashas voice suddenly rang through the room, worry lingering in it.

The 15 year old looked up, fear glistering in her eyes.

,,Will he leave?"

She croaked out, her voice breaking half way through.

The older redhead sat down next to the younger one before slinging an arm around her.

,,No, I'm sure he won't. He loves you too much to leave just like that"

She assured and stroked her daughters all-to familiar auburn waves.

,,What about you? Does he love you too?"

Alena asked, trying to keep her crying to a minimum. She knew that if things got ugly, she wouldn't see her dad anymore, but she also knew that her mom loved her dad more than anyone.

She knew that it would shatter her mom if he would just leave, even tough she'd rather be caught dead than admit it.

Natasha didn't answer. Instead, her expression softened and she pulled her daughter in tighter.

,,You know what, I'll go find him. You think I can borrow your motorcycle"

Alena suddenly declared, got up and walked to the door.

She didn't wait for an answer from her mom, she just grabbed the keys and was out the door.

The 15 year old knew how to ride the motorcycle, Natasha had taught her a few years back.

Unlucky for her, she didn't have a license but in that moment, she didn't give two fucks about it. She had to find her dad before he did something really stupid.

So, Alena drove around, looking for her father. She had a faint idea of where he might've gone, but she made sure to look in other places before.

Eventually, she arrived at a lake, where a single, tall figure stood.

From the body frame and the hair from the back, Alena knew that it must be her dad.

He hadn't seen her coming and stood facing the lake, staring out into the open water.

,,So, you gonna do it? Leave mom and me behind and live your life with Peggy?"

Alena questioned. She had snuck up on him and stood to his left.

,,Would be nice to go home. Back to where I belong"

Steve just stated, glancing at his child before staring back at the water.

The redhead frowned and stared her father down.

,,Home is here with me, isn't it? And with Mom and the avengers. You belong here"

She said, her eyes symbolising anxiousness for the ones who looked deeper than the general person.

Steve stayed quiet, clenching his jaw and staring down at the waves the wind was creating.

,,I hurt her badly, didn't I?"

,,Oh she's mad mad, but only because she loves you"

Alena informed, her arms crossed and a sassy expression characterising her face.

,,Truth is, I could never leave, even if I wanted to. I love the two of you too much for that"

Her dad finally answered.

,,Don't tell me, I know. Tell Mama"

The redhead sighed before slipping underneath her dad's arm and putting it around herself.

,,I love you tons, my little light"

Steve admitted as he ruffled his daughters auburn hair.

,,I love you too, dad"

A/N: Okay so this was an issue I came up with half asleep and after two hours on a plane so yea, that mixed with boredom and here we are.
Honestly though, I feel like this would've been interesting to see if marvel ACTUALLY MADE ROMANOGERS A THING.
Yea, hope you still enjoyed a little bit of Alena-and-Steve content because I still feel like I do too few of them.
I'll see you around, have a great day/night and stay amazing <3
