Summary: Alena wants to surprise her mom for mothers day, but she needs just a little help from her dad.

,,Dad?"

Alena asked as she knocked on her dad's office door.

,,Yea, wait up, little light, just a second"

Steve responded and clicked the shut down button on his computer.

The redhead slipped into the room and closed the door behind her.

Her dad turned around to her, a curious expression lingering in his eyes.

,,What is it, honey?"

He asked cheerfully.

,,Promise you won't tell Mama anything I'm about to tell you?"

,,What did you do? Who did you beat up?"

,,What, no one"

Alena assured, shaking her head in confusion.

,,Then why can't I tell your mother?"

Her dad inquired sceptically.

The redhead sighed. She really hated asking for help and the chances of keeping it a surprise were slim if her dad knew, but she needed his help.

,,Promise me you won't tell Mama"

She repeated, raising her eyebrows to strengthen the importance of her issue.

,,Promise"

Steve sighed as he held out his pinkie finger.

Alena beamed and hooked her little finger with his.

,,So, mothers day is coming up and I need you to help me surprise Mom"

She elaborated, her eyes radiating seriousness.

Steve leaned back in his seat and nodded.

,,What are you thinking about?"

He asked, quite confused on why she needed him to help her. She was 13 after all and knew how to use pretty much everything in their apartment.

,,So for starters, I thought about breakfast in bed. I need you to help me with that because your pancakes are far better than mine"

The 13 year old started, her eyes glowing with motivation.

Her father observed her as a smirk formed on his face.

,,Let's do it. You get the ingredients and I'll make sure she doesn't suspect a thing"

Steve agreed and got up from his chair, nodded and smiled at his daughter.

,,Youre the best, love you"

Alena smiled as she hugged her dad.

The day of mother's day arrived faster than the duo could plan, so like ever so often without Natasha involved, it was chaotic.

,,Okay, I'll go and keep her in bed for a few more minutes. Can you just call me when the pancakes are done?"

Alena stressed as she sprinted towards ger parents room.

,,Will do. Keep calm, little light"

Steve smiled.

He was wearing an apron and was currently making pancakes.

It wasn't line Alena hadn't tried, but she burned the first three, before her dad took over.

The redhead slipped into her Mom's room and closed the door behind her as quietly as possible.

The shades were still closed, so it was dark in the room, causing Alena to trip over a misplaced shoe.

,,Блин (Damn it)"

She swore loudly before slapping a hand to her mouth.

,,Доброе утро, маленький свет (Good morning, little light)"

Natashas voice came from the bed, a slight chuckle mixed with it.

Alena reached the bed and climbed in next to her Mom.

,,Morning, Mama"

She mumbled and cuddled into her mother.

The older redhead embraced the younger one gently.

,,Happy mothers day"

Alena smiled, kissed her Mom's cheek and hugged her tighter.

,,Thank you, моя милая (my sweet girl)"

Natasha responded before she pressed a kiss to her daughters head.

After all, she was the one who made her just that. A mom.

A/N: Happy mothers day to all mums out there. And, appreciation for all the ones who made their mothers a mum.
'Everyone can be a mother, but it takes a special person to be a mum' - some smart person probably.
Have a great day/night and stay amazing. See you around, beautiful people <3
