Summary: Alena's come down with the flu, leaving her feeling awful. Luckily, Natasha has the day off to care for her.

Natasha was just getting ready to leave for work, when her gaze went past her daugthers room.

Normally, the 14 year old would be up by this hour to get ready for school but today, she wasn't.

The redhead debated for a moment whether or not she should check, but after a second, her choice was clear.

She gently knocked on her daughters door, expecting a groan or something, but today, all she got back was a weak whimper.

,,Светочка, ты в порядке? (Little light, you alright?)"

Natasha asked, peeking her head through the door.

Alena still lay in bed, eyes pressed shut and the lights off.

,,No"

She groaned, desperately trying to shut the light from outside out.

Truth be told, Alena felt awful. Her head was killing her and her body felt like it was on fire. She felt like she couldn't breathe, even if she tried.

,,I feel like I'm dying"

The 14 year old admitted, turning over to face the wall away from the door.

Natashas expression faltered into one of great concern when she heard the girls voice.

Her daughter sounded like she had a massive hangover mixed with the worst karaoke session of her lifetime, but given the fact that Alena didn't drink, nor was she out last night, this didn't look too good.

,,Do you need me to stay home with you? We could do a girls day in and I'll make you some soup for your throat"

She offered, knowing Alena wouldn't say no to something like that.

,,But don't you need to work? Dad's all alone on that mission, you should really join him"

The 14 year old tried negotiating, worried for her dad, who was currently waiting on her mom to join him on a mission.

Natasha frowned before rolling her eyes. Sometimes she really wanted to beat the shit out of her husband for giving their daughter his good nature and need to put others first.

,,He'll be fine. He's Captain America after all, he can hold out a little longer"

She assured, her mind already made up.

,,But-"

,,No if or buts, I'm staying home with you"

Alena let out a tiny chuckle that sounded more like a dying bird, but who cares.

Natasha sent her girl a smile, one of the soft ones only reserved for her.

,,Okay you stay here and I'll be back in a second. Don't you dare get up"

The older redhead commanded, knowing that if she didn't, her daughter would be right on her heel to try any help with something.

She knew that Alena hated feeling useless, so being sick was almost worse than the death sentence for her.

With that, the redhead left the room, only hearing her daughters grunt of complaint as she made her way to the kitchen.

Minutes later she was back, a hot cup of camomile tea and her daughters favourite flavour of doritos.

,,Scoot over, I'm getting next to you"

,,I'm gonna get you sick"

,,Do I look like I care?"

Alena frowned at her mom, her bottom lip quivering.

,,I love you"

,,I love you too, мой бедный больной маленький свет (my poor sick little light)"

Natasha climbed under the covers next to the sick girl, handing her the tea and affectionately putting an arm around her.

The younger redhead cuddled into the older one, her head rested upon her chest.

,,What movie you wanna start with?"

Natasha inquired, gently stroking her daughters auburn waves.

,,Tangled. Man I love that movie"

Alena retorted, her eyes regaining some of its bright sparkle.

Her mom let out a chuckle. She remembered how much the girl used to fangirl over Rapunzel when she was little.

,,You used to idolise Rapunzel so much. You remember the time dad swung you through the living room?"

The young redhead nodded, remembering the day all too well. It was one of her favourite days ever.

Little did she know that this day would grow to be another one of her favourites. Because in secret, sick days were kinda her favourite.

It was then that she and her mom really got to bond and it was then that both redheads realised that their bond was one of the strongest and most special ever to exist.

A/N: I am sick. My nose is stuffy, my voice is almost nonexistent and I'm in pain (I love being a woman :,)) Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this really quiet, wholesome one. Really love making these bc it shows the bond that these two have.
Have a great day/night and I'll see you around, beautiful people. Stay amazing <3
