Sinking into the plush, red couch, he watched 'Dead Presidents' on the television with deep, brown eyes. The medium-sized living room was filled with a mix of strong cologne and the pungent scent of weed, while soft hip-hop music played from a speaker nearby. His royal blue notebook, complete with a velvet bookmark, lay open on his lap as he diligently wrote down lyrics with his jet-black pen. Each wordplay and double entendre was scribbled onto the white paper with practiced ease, his thumb pressing down on the button atop the pen, creating a satisfying clicking sound. As he exhaled a puff of smoke from his plump lips, the blunt between his fingers, a new lyric snapped into his mind and he quickly jotted it down.

AZ tapped his shoulder as he shifted his attention to him, "Yo, guess what the word on the street son?" he playfully nudged him in the shoulder, snickering at the thought.

"What's the word man?" Nasir asked, chuckling yet wondering what was so funny as he resumed writing down the next verse.

"Nalani said that you couldn't rap." AZ lies, taking a puff from the blunt, feeling the effects of the weed take over.

Nasir raised an eyebrow in surprise. Nalani was a well-known music critic in Queens, notorious for her criticism and harsh words. Nasir had always respected her opinion, even if he didn't always agree with it. He took a drag from his blunt, considering her words.

"Well, she's entitled to her opinion," he finally said, shrugging. "I know what I'm capable of." Nasir resumed writing down a few more verses.

AZ nodded, taking a seat on the armrest of the couch. "But you know how Shorty is, she's always looking for a reason to tear someone down."AZ spewed more lies from his lips.

Nasir chuckled, shaking his head. "Yeah, that's true. But you know what they say, any press is good press."

Nasir grinned back, feeling a sense of determination wash over him. He knew he had what it took to make it in the rap game, and he wasn't going to let anyone tell him otherwise. With a renewed sense of purpose, he turned back to his notebook, ready to write the next hit song.

Until that last line that AZ said echoed in the back of his mind over and over again like a ghost haunting him from the dead.

"But you know how Shorty is, she's always looking for a reason to tear someone down."

Nalani and Nasir were always beefing over something and it was because of AZ telling lies over and over again, knowing it would be bad every time. These two were enemies but she always wondered why he believed his best friend's lies over her.

Nasir approached her house and gently knocked his knuckles against the door, hearing footsteps stomp against the carpet as she swung the door open with a mean mug on her face, "What the fuck do you want this time?" Nalani spat, irritated by him and being woken in the morning on her day off from work.

"AZ told me—"Nalani stepped aside to let him in, "Come in." as he strolled inside the living room, and brushed past her, the smell of weed and strong cologne filled her senses, she closed the door behind him. She couldn't lie to herself when he always looked so good and smelled good too.

It didn't help that he was handsome, she found his chipped tooth quite adorable and yes you could say she liked him, but Nasir was here again.

"What did he say this time Nasir hm?" Nalani hummed playfully, she took a seat on the plush chocolate-brown couch.

Nasir rolled his eyes at her playful tone, but couldn't help but feel a sense of relief that she wasn't completely closed off to him. He took a deep breath before speaking.

"He told me that you said I couldn't rap ma," Nasir said, watching as Nalani's expression changed from playful to serious.

"He's lying, as usual," Nalani said, crossing her arms over her chest. "I never said that. I'd always like your music and I know you have talent."

Nasir's heart swelled with gratitude towards her. "Thank you," he said, feeling a weight lifted off his shoulders. "I needed to hear that."

Nalani gave him a small smile. "Don't let AZ's lies get to you, Nasir. You have what it takes to make it in the rap game. Just keep doing what you're doing."

Nasir nodded, feeling a sense of validation from her words. He felt an attraction towards her, but he knew they had a complicated history. For now, he felt like it was the right time to tell her now.

"Thanks, Nalani," Nasir said, before making his way towards the couch. "I appreciate it." Nalani nodded, watching him sit down beside her. Despite their past issues, she felt comfort when he was around.

"You know, Nasir," Nalani spoke up, her voice soft. "I've always liked you but when you're believing lies over my truth. it hurts ya' know?, and I've been wanting you tell you that."

Nasir's heart skipped a beat at her words. He had always admired Nalani's strength and confidence, and hearing her praise him like this meant everything to him, he placed his hand on top of hers, "I like you too."

"If we fight then we can make up right?"

"Right."

Her naked back reclined against the plush, chocolate-brown couch, he nestled his head between her legs. Her thighs were raised, and he held them firmly beneath his arms, expertly sliding his tongue along her wet folds. Her hips began to roll as she caressed her breasts, her thumbs grazing her nipples. His knees rested on the carpet while his lips tenderly suckled on her clit. She moaned his name, "Nasir, oh fuck." He moved his head back and forth, eliciting a deep ache in her core that made her bite down on her lower lip. As he groaned against her sensitive flesh, she wrapped her legs around his head, and he locked them in place with his strong arms.

Nalani's moans echoed through the room as Nasir's thumb worked her clit in a circular motion. His skilled fingers pumped in and out of her wet walls, causing her legs to quiver in his grip. Nasir eagerly drank in her essence as it flowed down his jawline like a waterfall. "You taste amazing," he murmured against her damp folds, his head swaying from side to side. "More please, Nas," she moaned, leaving a mess on his chin and the cushions below. Her passionate cries drowned out the theme song playing on the television.

"Oh yes! Nas!" she moaned, her hips grinding against his skilled tongue while his fingers expertly pumped in and out of her. She couldn't help but clench around his digits as her wetness flowed onto his lips, her face twisted up in pleasure as a blush crept onto her melanated skin. A knot coiled in her stomach as she was on the verge of a release. "I'm...oh fuckk, I'm about to cum," she gasped, the sounds of her gushiness filling the room.

"Show me that pretty face when you come baby," he groaned, his rasp vibrating onto her clit and her eyelashes fluttered open as she looked down at him, meeting his low gaze, those deep brown eyes of his were so easy to get lost in, "Oh fuckk!"  her face twisted up in pleasure as the immense satisfaction that was coursing through her body, and she came undone onto his fingers. Nasir upheld his rhythm, cleaning the mess up with his tongue and she trembled uncontrollably. She was lost in la la land, and she loved it here so much.

Nalani came down from her climax, Nasir pulled his fingers out of her and licked them clean, savoring the taste of her. He looked up at her with a smirk and said, "Damn, girl."

She laughed and leaned down to kiss him, her hands cupping his face. "Looks like we've made up hm?" she hummed playfully, her voice soft and slightly raspy, Nasir pecked her lips twice. "Yeah, we made up.." He smiled.

The couple lay together on the couch as she quickly got dressed while snuggling in his arms with his fingers tracing shapes in her thighs.
