Charles: Eric what are you still doing here, don't you have work?

Eric: I am going to be working from home for a little while so that I can look after you

Charles: you don't have to, I'll be fine

Eric: Charles can you get into your wheelchair?

Charles: ummm...

Eric: it's ok if you need help

Charles: I feel useless

Eric: you're not useless

Charles: look at me Eric, I can't walk around, I can't go to the bathroom on my own, I can't even put trousers on

Charles: and I can't even get myself out of bed without help

Charles: what can I do?

Eric: Charles you can do many extraordinary things, just because you are injured doesn't mean you are useless. You've been paralyzed, yes,  it that just shows how strong you are - you survived a car crash with minimal damage compared to other people. And your paralysis is only temporary so don't worry you'll be better soon.

Charles: can I have a hug?

Eric: if course you can

Charles: yay

Eric: just tell me if it hurts

Charles: ok

[10:08am]

Eric: so you want me to help you shower

Charles: no, I can reach it

Eric: ok

Eric: what do you want to eat for lunch my love

Charles: I don't know

Eric: I can make whatever, a sausage sandwich, pasta, anything

Charles: If it's ok, a sausage sandwich

Eric: 1 sausage sandwich coming right up

[1:01pm]

Charles: that sandwich was amazing

Eric: I'm glad you liked it

Charles: I did

[2:08pm]

Eric: Charles why are you lying on the floor?

Charles: I tried to get onto the sofa

Eric: here let me help

Charles: no no it's fine, I need to try

Eric: stubborn bastard

Charles' POV

Getting back into my wheelchair from the sofa was a lot easier than getting out of it, it took me under 5 minutes.

I wheeled myself over to Eric and wrapped my arms around him. Eric lent over and kissed my cheek.

"Hey handsome." He whispered.

"Will you be much longer?" I asked.

Eric gently patted my cheek, "no love, I've got one more thing to do."

"That's good." I murmured, kissing his lips softly.

There was a loud knock at the door.

"Charles, are you home?" Eleanor called, her voice wobbling slightly.

I rolled over and opened the door. At the sight of me, Eleanor burst into tears and flung herself on me.

I patted her back, "I'm ok Ells, don't worry about me."

"My big brother has been paralyzed, and you expect me not to be worried." She sobbed.

"It's only temporary paralysis, I should be able to walk again soon." I reassured her.

"I ditched work to come and see if you were ok, do you need me to do anything - cook for example?" She stated, after releasing me from her embrace.

"I noticed that you ditched work as you are still in your work clothes." I chuckled.

She was wearing a formal red dress and a pair of red heels. Eleanor chuckled slightly. I felt a hand on my cheek and I smiled. Eric's other hand grabbed mine and squeezed it gently. I moved my other hand so it was gently grabbing Eric's hair. Looking up at him, grinning, I murmured "hey handsome."

"Oh hello Eric, I assumed you were at work." Eleanor smiled.

"I'm working from home for a few days to take care of Charles." Eric grinned.

Eleanor tackled Eric into a hug. I turned myself around and chuckled at the sight of my sister squeezing my fiancé in a tight embrace.

"Careful Ells."

"Thank you Eric, thank you for being there for Charles." She whispered.

Laughing, Eric hugged her back. "You don't need to thank me Eleanor, I'll always be there for Charles."

"I'm glad Charles finally has a man who loves him as much as you do." She grinned, releasing Eric from her hug.

Eric smiled, he rested one hand on the back of my wheelchair before bending down and kissing my lips.

For once, Eleanor (shockingly) didn't interrupt us. She was looking at us with an unusual expression on her face.

"I have to get back to work, I'll see you both on Christmas." She grinned, quickly wiping her eyes.

"Bye Ells." I smiled.

"Oh and Eric, take care of my brother."

"Of course I will, goodbye Eleanor." Eric chuckled.

"Good." Eleanor stated before walking out the apartment and shutting the door behind her.
