As soon as we walked out of that room, we didn't get a second of peace for weeks. Maybe because of the state my neck was in. I couldn't hide it even if I wanted to. It seemed gossip had already spread and people were looking at us as if I had been captured by some kind of beast. Angie really liked those gazes and seemed very happy that gossip was spreading for once. If she was happy then I didn't have any complaints either.

However Angie's good mood didn't last long. Angie's birthday and mine were dangerously coming up and people would come to us every second of the day. I didn't know if our birthdays coming up were the reason or the excuse for us being that busy but the result was the same: I didn't see Angie a lot lately and when I would we would immediately go to sleep, exhausted. Because of this, Angie's appreciation of the gossip and of people in general quickly disappeared and she went back to hating everyone around us.

For example, as we were walking through an empty corridor, Angie took advantage of the situation and grabbed me by the waist before pulling me closer to her. She bent down towards me with a satisfied smile but she didn't have time to do anything because the next second we heard someone looking for me:

"Princess Poehina?"

Angie's eyes turned dangerously red and I could feel that the maid wouldn't have her head for much longer. Therefore I quickly patted Angie's arm:

"Hang on just for a few more days."

Angie started pouting:

"I'm surprised I held out this long. You promised that we would finally have time once your birthday was over but it's just getting worse. I can finally hold you..."

Angie's hand started touching my face and I could see her eyes losing focus.

"Princess Poehina?"

The maid finally found us and that woke Angie up from her daydreaming. She turned to the maid suddenly and made a face terrifying enough for the young girl to stumble. I could see the panic on her face and had to save her:

"It's okay, Angie. Your birthday is tomorrow. After that I will be completely yours."

Angie was still staring at the maid and I could feel her powers emanating from under her skin. I bent closer to her ear and whispered:

"If you behave, you will get a reward after the party."

Angie immediately focused back on me and her eyes turned gold:

"A reward?"

I smirked before walking away. The next day Angie didn't complain once but I could see that she couldn't wait for everything to be over. She didn't care one bit about what she would wear or who would come. On the other hand, she seemed to pay way too much attention to what I looked liked that night.

She came up to me with a huge box and put it down on the bed with utter care. She then opened the ribbon and lifted out a marvelous blue dress. I frowned and seeing my expression made Angie panic:

"Do you not like it?"

She seemed ready to throw it out so I quickly shook my head:

"It is gorgeous, I really like it. But didn't I already choose a purple dress for the ball?

-I wanted us to be matching tonight.

-Yes, that's why I chose a purple dress.

-I won't wear purple tonight.

-Why? Do you not like the dress?

-I love it. It was chosen by you. But I want us to wear blue."

I tilted my head with a smirk:
