Vegas watched the sweet kiss on the balcony between Kinn and Porsche only to realize that there was no force in the world that would keep those two away from each other and finally giving him an answer about what would happen if he continued insistently after Porsche.

Unfortunately, life once again taught him that perhaps love was not something he was made for and that perhaps his feelings would never be reciprocated in that way. So he preferred to withdraw before seeing something he would regret and went back to the exhibition.

"Vegas," Pete told him when he saw him so thoughtful, "They're expecting you for some interviews."

"Sure," Vegas said, he had to look awake to answer the questions.

That exhibition was one of his main projects that he had worked on so he couldn't let his feelings cloud his mind at that time. Maybe he should dedicate all his love to what he liked most, photography.

"Why did you decide on this theme for the exhibition?" a journalist from a national media outlet asked him during the press conference.

"It is important to highlight this problem that affects hundreds of women and children, not only in Thailand, but around the world," Vegas said with a smile, "Art allows us to express the deepest emotions in a different way data or statistics can't really show. That's why I wanted to provide an emotional point of view of this reality."

"Is this exhibition a wake-up call to the competent authorities?" asked a reporter.

"Not really, it's a wake-up call to the entire population to work together and report child abuse as well as white slavery," he said with a smile.

"Is it true that the young man in the black and white photographs in this exhibition is Porsche Kittisawasd?" a journalist asked and all the other reporters immediately returned to see the images.

"That's right," Vegas replied seriously.

"Do you not consider these images as a tool to influence the jury in favor of Porsche Kittisawasd a few days before the trial?" the same reporter asked him.

"That was never my intention but, given the national context of that trial, we cannot let the opportunity to talk about an issue that requires the attention of the authorities," Vegas said with a serious look in his eyes.

"What is your relationship with Kittisawasd?" another interviewer asked him.

"He's one of my close friends," Vegas replied sadly. True, now Porsche was just his friend and he had to come to terms with that idea.

The reporters really were top-notch opportunists, so after some additional questions about the technical details of the exhibition from some art curators and seeing that Porsche had probably already left with his cousin, Vegas left the exhibition.

But when he went out to look for his car in the parking lot, he noticed that Pete was sitting at the bus stop waiting.

"What are you doing there?" Vegas asked curiously.

"I'm waiting for my ride," Pete told him with that characteristic sweet smile as he put on a jacket to keep warm.

"Are you hungry?" Vegas asked.

"What?" Pete asked, surprised to hear that question.

"I asked if you were hungry," Vegas said with a smile, "I want to go get something to eat so I was wondering if you wanted to join me."

" I don't know..."

"Come on, please me," Vegas said as he opened the door of his car.

"Okay," Pete responded as he couldn't pass up the opportunity to go eat somewhere fancy with the person he liked. God... He couldn't believe he liked a guy like that. So arrogant, yet so handsome.
