~The Beginning of Life~

~ Chapter 6 ; Will Solace ~

'Schist!' Nico curses. 'Stupid, stubborn, new comers.'

I was still unconscious, but I could sort of tell what was going on. So... I'm like partially unconscious...
I feel Nico pick me up and carry me to the infirmary. The most prominent thing I remember is him dumping me on the floor. Harsh.

'Hey, Will! Here's the fifteenth!' Nico shouts. Fifteenth what? Corpse?

I hear Will come over. 'What is it with you?'

'What do you mean?'

'That's the third one you've sworn as your enemy! Why?'

THIRD ONE WHAT!?

'Doesn't matter, Solace.' Nico turns and leaves.

I sit up, drenched in sweat. It was around 6pm, judging by the room's light. I look around. I was in the infirmary and- there were fourteen other dazed humans of various ages, sitting in different colored beds.

I look down to examine myself. I looked perfectly fine. My clothes weren't torn or anything and I felt okay.

I throw my red quilt away and cross my legs, waiting for someone to say something, when Will walks in.

He looked just as I imagined. Golden hair, tanned, and bright blue eyes. Cute. Tall. Only he was real, not cartoon.
That might be slightly difficult to imagine.

He scans the room, looking at everyone.
"Chiron wants you all to come to the bonfire. Mr. D thinks you all might get claimed. You know what I'm talking about, right?"

Everyone nods. He doesn't seem suspicious... I mean... We're dazed people who I assume just arrived at camp... huh.
Will turns and leaves, and the others follow suit.

We exit the infirmary in silence and get a good view of the camp. A few people gasp in awe. It's actually camp.
I'm actually here.

IT'S REAL
IN YOUR FACE SNOW

I wanted to cry in joy. A few girls do. I, however, look around, wide eyed.

Will turns to us. 'Come on then.'

A few people laugh and we happily head to the amphitheater.
