Catching up (One step ahead 5)(RM) CEO!AU

      Lunch with Namjoon became an everyday thing, but it was strictly platonic.

      This is what colleagues do after all. 

      Even Hoseok runs off during lunch with that Min guy that works in the IT sector, it's not like it's unheard of.

      You'd tell yourself that every week again and again, but as those lunch dates went on you couldn't help but slip back into old habits from high school, when both of you worked together on projects for the school council. 

      The familiarity of the person across of you was pleasant since this was the same Namjoon that you knew back then, but maybe a tad bit more mature and a lot more flirtatious.

      You went back into the office after an hour or so of banter over stupid things and waited for the remaining few hours to go by, since you didn't have anything more to do today.

      A little bit earlier than when you were supposed to leave Hoseok peeked into your office.

      "I'm leaving a bit early and boss said he needs to see you."

      And so you made your way into his office once more noticing how the fact that you'll see him doesn't leave you in a sour mood anymore.

      "You called?" getting straight to the point you sat in the chair across from his.

      "Yes. There's this dinner tonight that we  need to have with the Park family." he began uncertain of what reaction he should expect from you.

      "And they are sending their son to arrange the deal with us but the thing is, the guy has the attention spam of a three year old unless..." Namjoon quickly put the idea out there to loom around the two of you.

      "Unless?" you sensed the light panic that was seeping off of his form.

      "Unless he's talking to a woman." he blurted it out that you almost didn't catch what he said.

      "Sooo...you want to send me to set up a deal with some disgusting perv?" you put that usual twist in his words just to see him sweat a bit more and he immediately backtracked.

      "I'll be there too! I just...I don't know. You don't have to. I was just desperate I guess." he rubbed his temples.

      "I'll take care of it myself, you may go." he backed away, apologizing to you again and again.

      "I never said I won't do it." you quipped in "And if you'll be there I guess it's fine, it's still a business dinner."

      You began to leave before turning once again when you were at the door.

      "And I'm not wearing anything revealing, I'm there to get investors for our company not a sugar daddy." you stated before leaving.

      Later that day you sat in the passenger seat of Namjoon's car and he gave you a once over, noticing you decided to wear a suit instead of that usual pencil skirt you liked to rock, day in day out.

      "You look pretty." he spoke before he could stop himself.

      "Thank you. Can we go now I wanna get this over with." you said and listening to your orders he drove off to the hotel where you were supposed to meet this guy.

      "Why are we meeting at a hotel though?" you couldn't help but ask out of pure curiosity.

      "The kid is the owner." he answered shortly.
