Her nightmares were no longer fictional, but a memory. It seemed that everytime she had closed her eyes, she could practically see the red ray of light leaving the wand of her attacker Barty Crouch jr. The pain was so severe, she remembered how she wasn't able to do anything, but give into torture like nothing else in the world had existed besides the feeling of becoming lifeless little by little.
The bruises and wounds may not be on her skin no more, but the memory was a scar to her brain.
"Eleanor love?" Called a voice from the livingroom. Sirius sickly observed the now empty cottage home shes lived in for years on end.
Only a few packed boxes were enough to pack everything she needed, with the help of enchantment of course.
He smiled to himself in triumph.
They were finally taking the next step of becoming a real family, besides the ideal planning of them talking about moving together since Eleanor was still in her school years, right now was a good enough time if any. Given the fact that Eleanor might be in more danger than he thought she would. Moving locations was smart and safe and he'd sacrifice anything for her safety— even if that meant moving back to his abandoned childhood home.
"Eleanor?" He looked around the hallway, but spotted her shortly as she stood alone in her now empty bedroom staring outside the window of the sunny late june evening.
His footsteps didn't go unheard, he bent down to gently rub her shoulders as his head rested at the crook of her neck. "I know it's tough, we'll get through this together." He tried his best to comfort her.
She lightly hummed in response before turning her head and received a kiss on the cheek from him before he let go of her.
"When are we getting Harry?" Sirius asked as he walked out of the room which Eleanor followed behind.
"I'm picking him up next weekend. I told him to pack everything he had and to at least try to enjoy the last of his time with that side of the family for good."
Sirius nodded before sending her a dashing grin. "This is going to be great for us. Especially, for Harry. Getting him out of that house full of wretched people. The worst of muggles they are."
Eleanor proceeded to eyeball the place to make sure she didn't forget anything.
Sirius had taken her belongings, while Eleanor took one last look of what used to be her home and tried her best to look up at the start of a new life. Although Sirius made it sound like they were starting their own beginnings, she couldn't help but know that she was once again going in hiding.
"Are you ready?" He asked as they both stood outside of what used to be her home.
She turned to him with a nervous smile, "Ready."
He grinned from ear to ear, taking her hand in his before they apparated into thin air before they both landed on their feet with a harsh thump on the pavement.
