"This wine is going to fall onto the floor, lyds." Kira said, pushing the open wine bottle away from the edge of the table.

"It doesn't matter if the rest falls, there's already a stai—" what the fuck." Lydia scanned the floor, searching for the scarlet red stain that was supposed to be on the carpet

"What?" Malia looked away from the whirring machine

"Where is the stain? The wine stain. It was right here when we walked in."

Kira and Malia looked at each other with confused expressions," Are you sure? I never saw it when we came in."

"Yeah I didn't either. I was so confused when you said it" Kira said

Lydia's mouth opened, but it quickly shut again. She was shocked that both of them had missed a big red stain on a white carpet when they walked. She was sure she hadn't imagined it, so why had it just suddenly disappeared?

"Where'd you put the bottle?" Lydia asked Kira, who nodded to the table behind her. Lydia grabbed it, examining it," Malia can you get me another one of these from downstairs?"

"Sure." Malia grabbed the bottle, heading downstairs

"What are you thinking?" Kira asked, noticing Lydia had gone silent

"I feel like somethings up in this room. Or maybe it's something with the bottle itself. I know for a fact that the stain was just here and now it's just gone. It has to mean something. I mean, the bottle was already open, so I know I'm not completely losing my mind either."

"A banshee thing?" Kira smiled. Lydia smiled as well, nodding.

"It's this one right?" Malia held up a bottle

"Yeah." Lydia took it from her, examining it. She held the bottle up to the light, barely being able to see something floating inside," There's something in there."

"What is it?" Kira asked, squinting her eyes

"Im not sure, I need to go get the bottle open—" Malia snatched the bottle from Lydia, interrupting her. She threw the bottle onto the ground, smashing it

"Malia! Why do you always choose to break things. I could have just—"

"It doesn't matter, look." Malia pointed to the key that was stuck inside the bottle, now out in the open in the middle of the shards of glass.

Kira picked it up, wiping it down on her shirt," So, what now? What is this for?"

"Maybe for that." Malia pointed to the machine," that thing has a keyhole."

"Try it." Lydia said quickly

Kira sighed, moving her hand towards the key slowly. She paused before putting it into the keyhole. She paused as apprehension clouded her thoughts.

"Kira, stop acting like you're in some damn horror movie and put the stupid key in." Malia barked

Kira apoligzed lightly, putting the key in and turning.

—————————

The machine slowed to a stop. The three women watched as the whirry noise died out.

"I think...we did it." Kira gasped lightly, a smile creeping on her face

"I'm still going to kill that bitch who attacked us." Malia mumbled

The peaceful atmosphere was interrupted as Lydia's phone rang. It was Liam on the other end

"Liam! Hey! I think we did something. We found a machine in my wall, in the exact room Stiles had talked about. We also managed to turn it off. " Lydia said excitedly
