What About Them?

"What about them?" I responded to Martin.

"I've been considering a promotion for Justin, he would become the vice president. But to do that I need him and Damon to get along and work together." Martin explained.

"And what is my part in this exactly?" I asked.

"I would like to have another family meal on Sunday after Damon's return. If you could just make sure he joins us would be enough. But if you can convince him to actually sit down with Justin and talk this over professionally would be even better." He answered.

I could feel the anxiety in my stomach grow a little more. "I can try to get him there, but I don't know about him willingly sitting down with Justin."

It was clear there were some problems between Justin and Damon. They were there before but got amped up when Justin slapped me in front of Damon. I couldn't help but agree with Damon though, Justin was entitled and felt he deserved what he wanted. And here he was getting a promotion in the company, his plan managed to still be going exactly how he had wanted.

"I know, but I figured it was worth a shot to try. They're both adults and if they're going to be at the company in such high positions they need to act like it." He spoke.

"I understand sir. I'll do my best." It wouldn't hurt to try I guess, but I knew Damon was going to be stubborn about it.

That's one thing I learned about him right away, he was stubborn and liked to be in control. I knew he probably wasn't going to react well about the thought of Justin getting promoted. Martin didn't know all the details about how Justin treated me, only about the slap I had been given. I was ashamed at what I had done or I would've told Martin exactly what his grandson had been up to.

"Thank you Kaydence, I appreciate it." Martin thanked me and we ended the call.

"What did he want?" Rose asked.

I sighed, "He wants me to get Damon over there this weekend and willingly sit down with Justin."
Rose scoffed in response. "I wish you the best of luck on that. Those two have never really gotten along."

"Well do you have any advice for me?" I asked.

She gave me a slight smile before answering. "I don't. But if anyone can convince him to do something it's going to be you. Martin must know that too or he wouldn't have called."

I nodded. "I'll figure it out I guess."

I got up from the stool and headed into my room. With Damon gone things were a little more relaxed. I didn't have to worry about getting myself into any punishment. I noticed Rose was a little more relaxed too, it allowed me to connect with her a little more. It was nice to talk to someone in the house besides Damon.

I learned that Rose has two children who were adults and married. One had moved out of state due to work and one was living in a neighboring city. She has four grandchildren and her eyes lit up talking about them. Damon made sure she got to see them whenever she could. He was even kind enough to give her an entire weekend and pay for expenses to visit her children. This weekend coming up is the weekend she would be gone.

Damon would return before she left though. He was due to be home in three days on Thursday. It may have been relaxed more with him gone but it was slightly weird. This was the first time I was alone in the house without him coming home at all. The longest he wasn't here prior was just for his work hours. They differed though, some days he was here longer than others. Some days he was home really late and some on time, very rare it seemed that he was early.

I had to figure out how I was going to get him to agree to talk about Justin moving up in the company. I knew he wouldn't like it and I knew I didn't either. I don't know how Justin managed to pull this off. He had to have done something to convince Martin, especially after the encounter he had last with Damon at Martin's home.

My phone rang, bringing me out of my thoughts. I answered the call. "Hello."

"Hello Love." Damon spoke.

"What's up?" I asked, he must have had a reason to call.

"Just wanted to check in on you. Make sure everything is going okay." He responded.

"I mean you must know it's all going okay. I almost can guarantee you've probably checked in with Rose on me." I stated, knowing he damn well he probably already had spoken with her.

He chuckled, "You're catching on. I've heard you've been behaving. Good girl"

I rolled my eyes. "Sometimes you make it sound like I'm a dog you know. Of course I'm behaving, we have an agreement and I'm not letting you punish me again."

He responded with a chuckle again, "You're adorable. I'll see you in a few days, Love." he hung up before I could respond.

I meant what I had said. I was hell bent on not getting punished anymore and I was making sure he knew it. I refuse to give him the slightest reason to reprimand me. If I had to pick between pleasing him versus being punished it was an easy choice. Atleast pleasing him gave me pleasure too.

I liked the way he made me feel when we had sex, I had never felt that way. After turning to prostitution I had lost my drive to have sex by my choice. I was just doing it because it meant money. Even the sex I had a few times with Justin wasn't that great. He and everyone else I had been with were more focused on pleasing themselves and didn't care if I finished or not. But Damon was different. I don't know if he got off better when he pleased me first or if he was just doing it to do it.

I only met him almost three weeks ago and agreed to his proposition almost a week after that, I wasn't sure how to feel towards him. He was stubborn and pissed me off with that punishment. But he also was helping me and making sure I was taken care of well, he made sure I was alright after his punishment which I was surprised by. He challenged my attitude but I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it. I needed to keep in mind it was around this point that Justin flipped on me and showed his true colors. But part of me couldn't help but feel like maybe I was drawn to Damon for more than how attractive he is, like I was beginning to like him.
