I knocked continuously on the door until it was finally pulled open by a very grumpy Will. I ruffled his bedhead affectionately and went inside, immediately heading to their coffee maker. "What are you doing?"

"Isn't it obvious?" I dramatically gestured at the counter, but he kept his glare trained on me until I sighed. "Brian asked me if I wanted to hang out today. You're not very fun this morning."

"I'm not very fun when I am woken up at the butt crack of dawn." It was only 9 o'clock but I figured pointing this out would only irritate him more. "Brian went on a run like fifteen minutes ago so you'll have to wait."

I pouted but immediately brightened when Oscar came in. His eyes were still closed but as soon as they fell on me, he was wide awake. He flung his arms over his bare chest and ran back out of the room, returning with a shirt and an embarrassed smile. "Good morning handsome. I see you found your shirt. "

He took the mug from my hands and winked. "Thanks for the coffee."

I watched him go into the living room, smiling after him. I looked away just in time to see Will rolling his eyes at me, and I slapped his shoulder. "What's your problem?"

"Oh come on, since when have you known Oscar to be embarrassed to be shirtless? I'm just sick of you two canoodling in front of everyone and still refusing to put a label on anything."

It was only a month since my best friend Brian introduced me to all of his roommates but I already felt like I had know them my whole life. Oscar especially was so easy to warm up to and we had fallen into a rhythm of play flirting, which the group picked up on.

"We do have a label known as friends," I grumbled, trying to push the thought away as I made another cup and sat down beside Oscar. As if it was completely natural, he laid his head on me without breaking his concentration from his phone screen.

"If you're going to cuddle, just call it like it is," Will called over his shoulder before he went upstairs, and Oscar flipped him off in response. We had never really talked about how we felt about the other, so we assumed the other was just pretending and ignored Will's comment.

"You're really comfortable," he mumbled, digging his head deeper into my lap. "I wish I could just stay here all day."

"Well your big head is hurting me," I winced and tried to push him off, but he just smiled up at me.  "What big important things do you have to do today that you couldn't just stay here with me?"

He held up a hand and started listing things off. "I have a meeting later for some Unbroken stuff, I have to stream later with the boys, I have to go to the gym."

"I think you can skip the gym today Mr. Muscles," I teased, pinching his upper arm. I seemed to be the only person that was able to get him to blush and he tried to hide it by sitting up and asking if I thought it was hot. "Not really, no," I replied with a concealed smirk.

"You better watch yourself, I'll wipe that smirk right off." I made a noise of surprise and his confidence was back as he gave my cheek a rub with his thumb as he walked past. "See you later?"

I nodded, my skin tingling where his hand had been. It was normal for friends to do that to friends, right? And it was normal for friends to have butterflies about other friends?

My thoughts were intruded by the door opening and I turned to see Brian pulling out his headphones and holding out his arms to me for a hug. "Not until you shower, and please make it quick. I've been waiting forever."

"Sorry, I thought I could get done before you got here!"

I took my time, drinking my coffee and scrolling through Twitter, smiling at all of the cute edits of Oscar and I. It was easy to believe that we were dating if you weren't close to us.

"Aw, look at you two," Brian said, making me jump. "Good thing there was nothing in that mug!"

He took it into the kitchen for me and I looked back down at the video of clips from Oscar's streams that I was in. "He's like my brother."

"You must be very close with your brothers," Brian said through his laughter, but he stopped when he saw my concerned face. "Okay, what's up? Why are you obsessing over him all of a sudden?"

"He touched my cheek today." He frowned and for good reason because it obviously didn't sound like a big deal, so I gave further explanation. "And I felt all tingly and got butterflies and I can't stop thinking about it."

Brian widened his eyes and smiled bigger than I had ever seen. "(Y/N), that's amazing! You have finally realized you are completely in love with him! Now what are you going to do about it?"

"Well obviously nothing! That's so awkward!"

"And why is that? He is just as in love with you," he said. I shook my head quickly but he just rolled his eyes and nodded just as hard. "He won't say anything because he's too shy."

I raised an eyebrow at him. "We are talking about the same Oscar Guerra, right? The boy that I have never seen nervous?"

"You make him go all soft. You're the only one who can do that."

"Do what?" Oscar had made his way downstairs quietly and I cringed wondering how much he had heard. He put his hands on my shoulders and waited for a response.

Brian made a lame excuse about how he had a phone call to make and left me and Oscar alone. He could tell something had happened since he had gone upstairs and raised his eyebrows expectantly at me. "What?"

"What were you guys talking about that you don't want to tell me?" He looked uneasy and I wanted so bad to tell him right there and then that I liked him, and maybe I would've if he hadn't spoken first. "Actually can I say something?"

I nodded, thankful that I could take more time to think about what I wanted to say.

"I don't want to make this awkward so I'm just going to come out and say what I have wanted to say for awhile, okay?" I nodded again and the words rushed out, almost like he didn't have control over them. "I really wanted to ask you out a long time ago but I thought you would say no. I figured I would give it a shot though."

I kept my expression neutral even though the butterflies were out in full force. "And you thought I would say no because?"

"Maybe you didn't like me, or you thought I was annoying or something," he said, smiling at me rolling my eyes. "Is that not the case?"

"I flirt with you and you think I do it because I don't like you?" He shrugged and laid down on my lap again, making me smile like an idiot. "I though you were busy today?"

"Well now I'm busy planning a date," he replied.
