I was sorting through paperwork when I heard my boss's door slam open. I glanced back to see his angry gaze fixated on me, causing my skin to crawl. "(Y/L/N), my office. Now."

I took in a shaky breath and stood up, taking my time to walk to his office. I hovered in the doorway and cleared my throat lightly. "Is something wrong sir?"

He barked out a laugh and shook his head. "No my day is going smoothly. Exactly how it should be going. I planned to be on the phone for two hours fixing the mess that you made," he said, shoving an angry finger towards me.

I furrowed my brows and shook my head. "I'm sorry, I'm not sure what I did wrong."

He laughed again and tossed his calendar towards me which I caught just before it hit the ground. I glanced over my careful handwriting, not seeing the problem. "Take a look at next Thursday."

I ran my finger along the paper, finding the small square and seeing the problem I created. I had scheduled two very important interviews for the same time without realizing it.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry sir. I must've gotten my dates mixed up," I said in a small voice. He scoffed and nodded.

"You cost me precious time today. It's like you're just asking to get fired. Is that what you want?"

I shook my head quickly. "No sir, not at all! I'm so sorry, it won't happen again."

He shook his head and pointed out the door. "Go, you've already wasted enough of my time." I nodded quietly and made my way back to my desk, my coworkers watching my every move. I kept the tears at bay all day and was so grateful to finally get to my car and let all of them out.

I pulled my phone out and dialed Kian's number, sniffling and waiting for him to pick up. He finally answered and I could hear laughing in the background. "Hey sweetheart, are you on your way home?"

"Uh yeah, I am. Where are you?"

I heard him talking to someone else before he answered my question. "At the house. Fran, Bob, Corey, and Jc are all here too. We've been filming." I stayed quiet and Kian quickly filled the empty space. "Is that okay?"

I took another deep breath and put a smile on my face even though he couldn't see it. "Yeah, that's fine! I'll be home soon."

"Okay. Drive safe, love you," he said before hanging up. I laid my head down on the steering wheel and allowed a few more tears to fall. I love my friends but I really just wanted to be alone with Kian.

I sucked it up and began my short drive home, glancing at myself in the mirror to make sure I didn't look too puffy before grabbing my bag and heading inside.

As soon as I opened the door, screaming came pouring out and I closed my eyes as if that would help it become more bearable. A headache from crying had already started and this would only make it worse.

I laid my keys down in the kitchen and stood in the doorway of the living room where everyone was hanging out. Upon seeing me, Kian jumped up and wrapped his arms around my waist, pressing a kiss to my lips and smiling. "Hey sweetheart."

I smiled back and said quick hellos to everyone else. "There's pizza on the counter that we saved for you," Bobby said and I just shook my head. All I wanted to do was sleep and as much as I wanted to hang out with them, I was too tired to be around their screams.

"Thanks but I think I'm just going to go to bed," I said earning a gasp from the group.

"You just got here girl! We want to hang out with you! We're about to do a group video and we want you in it," Franny pouted, causing me to smile a bit but I shook my head.

"No fun," Kian frowned with his arms crossed. I turned my attention to him and just shrugged before waving goodbye and making my way up the stairs. He caught my wrist halfway up and tugged in an attempt to get me to come back down. "Come on, spend time with us."

I sighed, irritation beginning to set it. "I'm tired Kian. It was a really long day, okay?" He frowned and cocked an eyebrow at me. This irritated me more and I pulled my arm away from his grip. "You don't believe me?"

"It just seems like you always have a 'long day.' There's always an excuse with you. You never want to hang out with us," he said, the frown still on his face. My jaw dropped open at his harsh tone and he turned to walk away.

"Yeah Kian, it is always a hard day because I work for some arrogant guy that thinks it's okay to treat me like garbage 24/7! I get verbally abused practically everyday and he threatens to fire me multiple times a week. So yes, I do always have a long day. You wouldn't understand because all you do is sit in front of a camera and have fun as your job!"

I took a deep breath, immediately regretting the things I said and Kian was looking at me with a mix of disgust and pity. Everyone's heads were turned towards the hallway where they could see, and hear, everything that just happened.

I raised a shaky hand to my face, wiping away tears I hadn't felt before but were now distorting my vision. I spun around and ran up the stairs as fast as possible, slamming the bedroom door behind me and curling up on the bed.

I couldn't believe I had just said that to him. I took one of the things he was insecure about and used it against him. He was always talking about how people underestimated how hard YouTube was and I knew it was hard but I just probably made him feel worthless. Along with all of our friends.

I buried my face in my pillow, sobbing so hard that I didn't hear the door softly click open and Kian's footsteps approaching. He sat down on the side of the bed and I stopped, taking a deep breath but not removing my head from the pillow.

He placed his hand on my back and rubbed slowly until my breathing was back to normal, then pulled me gently into his lap. I glanced up and was greeted with sad brown eyes looking back at me.

"I'm sorry," I whispered but Kian quickly shook his head.

"No, I'm sorry. Why didn't you tell me about your boss? I hate that you feel that way about this job, I thought you liked it," he said, placing a kiss on the top of my head.

"I do like it. It's just a lot and by the end of the day I'm drained. I'm not making up excuses at all, I promise. I want to hang out with you guys more than anything but I'm just tired," I rambled.

Kian's hand was back to rubbing my back and he nodded. "I know. I don't know why I said that sweetheart, I didn't mean it. I understand that you're tired."

I nodded and pulled away so I was looking directly into Kian's eyes. "I'm so sorry that I said your job isn't hard. I don't know why I would say that because you work so hard and I'm such a jerk," I said, tears starting to form again.

Kian quickly shook his head. "Stop, it's okay. Seriously, I know you didn't mean it. I have it way easier than you and I understand that, okay?"

I tried to protest but he pressed a kiss to my lips in response. I smiled as he pulled away and he laid me back down, pulling the comforter around me. "We need to film one more video but I promise we'll be quiet and I'll be back up as soon as we're done."

I nodded, my eyes already drooping. "I love you," I whispered.

Kian smiled sweetly and brushed my hair behind my ear. "I love you more sweetheart."
