"Thanks for coming with me. You seriously didn't have to," I said as Kian stored our luggage in the overhead compartments of the plane.

He sat down and grabbed my hand, giving it a squeeze. "No need to thank me. It'll be more fun to spend the holidays with your family anyways as opposed to us alone," he said.

I hadn't really planed on going home for Christmas this year, especially not at the beginning of the month.

However my little sister has a Christmas choral recital today and I really wanted to surprise her by coming home. I knew she wasn't expecting it and it would be the perfect early "Christmas present."

Our flight landed right on time and my mom was at the airport to pick us up. She obviously had to fawn over how Kian gets more handsome every time she sees him and how I look so much older than the last time I was home.

The car ride to the school was mostly her asking poor Kian a million questions and him politely answering all of them, although he swears he loves to have conversations with my parents.

We found my dad in the packed auditorium and sat down in the seats he had saved for us.

"How much time do we have until this starts?" Kian was looking at something on his phone and I checked the front of the program.

"20ish minutes. Why?"

"There's something I forgot to do. Mrs. (Y/L/N), would you mind if I borrowed your car to run a quick errand?"

I looked between Kian and my mom and I'm sure my bewildered expression matched hers. However she handed him the keys and he gave us both a smile, kissing my forehead before he left.

It was dark when he returned but I could crinkling paper when sat down.

"Did I miss anything?" He leaned against my arm and I shook my head. The lights on the stage went up and the program began.

Everything was adorable and I was pleasantly surprised to find out my sister had a solo. I glanced over at one point to see Kian taking a video on his phone which warmed my heart to see. He loved her almost as much as I did.

When the auditorium lights returned I could see that Kian had a huge bouquet of roses at his feet. He looked at me and smiled, sinply saying "Not for you!"

My parents had left to get my car and bring it back to the school for Kian and I so we decided to walk to her classroom and wait for her. Kian was proudly standing with his flowers, bouncing from foot to foot and waiting patiently for her to come out.

She spotted me and we met halfway. I squeezed her tightly as I crouched down to her height.

"You did so amazing (Y/S/N)! Mom and Dad didn't even tell me you had a solo!" She smiled and revealed some missing teeth which I found adorable.

"I didn't know you were coming home!" She hugged me again and I looked up to see Kian smiling at his phone.

He walked closer to us and stood behind her and I motioned for her to turn around.

She gasped when she saw him and ran towards him. He leaned down and picked her up as she jumped into his arms, spinning her around as she giggled.

"Kiwi!" He laughed at her nickname for him and pressed a kiss to her cheek which she returned almost immediately. He handed her the flowers and her eyes widened.

"All for me?"

"Of course they're all for you! A princess deserves all the flowers in the world after all. I don't have the power to do that so these will have to do," he said which caused her to giggle.

I was snapping pictures of them as they talked and laughed and I couldn't help but smile. I was glad they had such a close relationship with each other.

After my parents dropped off my car we too (Y/S/N) to Starbucks for hot chocolate and she filled us in about everything that's been happening this school year.

Kian listened intently the whole time and asked lots of questions which she was thrilled about.

We had to eventually go home and (Y/S/N) had to go to bed since it was a school night. She requested for Kian to read her a story and put her to bed which he did gladly.

When he came back downstairs afterward he had a grin platered on his face and it wouldn't go away.

"I love her almost as much as you," he said, kissing the top of my nose.
