Hushed whispers and giggles came from the second floor and Vlad glanced at the staircase in slight worry. He didn't know what they were planning, but he knew it wasn't something good considering his daughter took after him. The giggles intensified until he heard the sound of little feet running across the wooden floor and down the stairs. He raised up his camera, ready to take a picture of his daughter in her halloween costume, and paused in surprise. His daughter stopped in front of him with a bright smile and excited eyes "What do you think?" She twirled around to show her black cape and opened her mouth to show off the plastic fangs in her mouth. (Y/N) made her way down the stairs and tried to hide her amused smile behind her hand "How do you feel about her costume? It's cute, right?" "It's very cute" he replied, sending his wife a look before turning to smile softly at his daughter "Why did you choose a vampire?" 

"Because dad is from vampire country!" She exclaimed, filled with excitement as she bounced on her feet "Dad should dress up as a vampire too and we can match!" "Vlad it would be really cute if you did that" (Y/N) suggested, offering him the black cape she had hidden behind her back "She'd love it." He looked down at his daughter to notice her staring at him "Please dad!" He sighed softly in defeat and grabbed the cape from his wife's hand and turned towards the stairs "Give dad a moment and he'll come back as a really cool vampire." His daughter cheered behind him as he made his way to the second floor bathroom to use the makeup he knew was left all over the counter.

With his costume makeup done and a set of plastic fangs in his mouth, he made his way down the stairs to be greeted with a gasp of wonder from his daughter and a small laugh from (Y/N). "You look like a real vampire dad!" She exclaimed, tackling him in a hug which he gladly accepted. "Does dad look really cool?" He asked, smiling slightly to reveal the fake fangs much to the joy of his daughter. "You look super cool!" She exclaimed, turning to look at her mother "Mommy doesn't dad look cool?!" (Y/N) nodded with a small smile and pecked his cheek "Dad looks really cool." Their daughter wrinkled her nose at the affection before excitedly running towards the front door "Now that everyone is done let's go!" (Y/N) laughed beside him and took his hand in hers "Thank you for doing this. It made her really happy." He moved to place a kiss on her cheek, but failed when the fake fangs moved around, making him smush his face against her cheek. 

Pink dusted his cheeks in embarrassment as she laughed lightly at the act "Of course I'd do this. I'd do anything to make her happy." "You're so weak to her" (Y/N) commented, and he sighed softly in defeat "Yeah." "C'mon mommy! Dad! Let's go" their daughter called out, standing with one hand on the door and the other hand gripping her trick or treat bag tightly. The two separated and ensured everyone was dressed up in warm clothes for the night and set off. They headed to each house and watched from afar as their daughter excitedly ran door to door in search of more candy. After an hour of walking around the neighbourhood with a heavy bag filled with sweets, his daughter turned to him with tired eyes "Can we go home now?" "Of course sweetie" he stated, and took her up in his arms after (Y/N) took the candy bag to hold onto. She yawned and clung onto him.

Chocolate and candy littered the kitchen table as Vlad sorted through them to determine which ones were good and which ones were bad. (Y/N) took a seat in front of him and started to sort "She's asleep now." "I'm surprised, I thought vampires didn't sleep at night" he joked, and she laughed softly at the comment. "We have to be quiet. Despite how tired she looked, it was hard to get her to sleep" she commented despite the smile on her face. 

He smiled to himself and tossed an open candy into the trash bin "Tonight was fun. I remember when she used to be terrified of Halloween, and now look at her." "I still have the video of her clinging to you because she was scared of Andrey dressed as a monster" (Y/N) stated with a snort. "I remember Andrey panicking" he replied, and gathered up the good candy and placed it in the candy bag "We should get some rest too." "You should get that vampire makeup off of yourself first" (Y/N) stated, and he paused to look in the mirror "I forgot I had this on." She laughed softly and tugged his arm gently "C'mon, let's go to bed Vlad."

I know that people celebrate Halloween differently in other countries. This is based off how I celebrated it when I was a kid.
