Greece (Heracles Karpusi) x Reader

Music flowed throughout the room quietly as the two students sat down at the table with books placed open before them. Heracles placed his head on his arms and attempted to fall asleep in an effort to ignore the hassle of studying. (Y/N) groaned and shook her best friend lightly "We have to study for this politics exam. There's no time to sleep." He glared softly at her. If he didn't adore her as much as he did, he would have launched into a full-blown argument about the importance of sleep for the brain, similar to his arguments with his Turkish frenemy Sadiq.

He slowly nodded and listened to her recite political facts about the current and past governments in an effort to remember them. She glanced at him hopefully and he nodded in encouragement. She had gotten the facts right. She smiled at him in pride "Now it's your turn Heracles. What would you like to do?" "Sleep." She sighed "Soon. If we finish within the hour, you can sleep." He agreed.

The pair worked hard to finish studying their notes. By the time the hour had passed, they had essentially memorized 89% of their notes and felt somewhat confident for the exam. (Y/N) smiled in relief and laid down on the floor "It feels great to be done." He laid down next to her and sent her a sleepy smile. Pink dusted her cheeks at the close proximity and she turned to stare up at the ceiling. She hated how handsome he was. He silently observed her. They had been friends for only a year but had quickly grown close.

He took notice of her reddening ears and smiled slightly "(Y/N)." She turned to look at him with curious eyes. He loved her eyes. He shifted slightly to look at her better "I'd let you into my polling booth because you tick all the right boxes." She blinked as heat rushed to her cheeks "What?" He chuckled and continued his advances "Are you a member of the Proletariat? Cause I feel an uprising in my lower class." Her cheeks darkened in embarrassment "Heracles what are you doing?" He pulled her to lay down close to him on the floor "If going out with you was a referendum, I'd vote yes." She stared at him with wide eyes.

His words slowly processed themselves in her brain. Her cheeks darkened in colour and Heracles couldn't stop the small smile from forming on his face. She looked at him "Are you asking me out using political pick up lines?" He nodded. "I can't believe this is happening" she muttered to herself. He patiently awaited her response. He admitted the execution could have been better, but he found amusement in her reactions. She nervously fiddled with her fingers "I'd like to swear you in as my Chief Executive Boyfriend." His smile grew and he pulled her to lay down on his chest. He mumbled in her ear "I bet you're glad they don't tax good looks."

She buried her face in his neck "I hate you. I hate this so much." He chose to ignore her words and shifted to make them comfortable "It's time to sleep now. You promised." She sighed and agreed with him. Sleep easily fell over him and (Y/N) observed the sleeping face of her new boyfriend. The word felt foreign to her. She decided to not dwell on it but to rather enjoy the moment with him. She closed her eyes and snuggled into his warm chest.

The pair stood in front of the exam centre as (Y/N) anxiously looked over her notes. Heracles absentmindedly pretended to read them. He decided to instead focus on her expression. He smiled fondly and placed a soft kiss on her cheek "Don't worry about the exam. You're going to do good. The cat gods are watching over you." She chuckled and nervously agreed with him. She read over her notes one more time before entering the classroom to begin writing the exam. She glanced over at Heracles to find him sleeping on the desk as the class waited for the professor to hand out the papers. A small smile formed on her face and she felt her nerves disappear.

Despite their shenanigans, the pair had studied hard for the exam and she felt confidence beginning to form. She drew a small cat on the corner of her paper and began the exam. Two hours passed by quickly and (Y/N) patiently waited for Heracles to exit the room. He walked over to her with a small smile "I'd let you spoil my ballot any day of the week." She rolled her eyes with a small smile "We're done with politics. Please, no more political pick up lines." He merely smiled and took her hand.

Author's Note:

I do not take credit for these pick-up lines. I found them on various sites when I searched political pick-up lines.

I hope you enjoyed this one.

The next one is Finland, which is not about Christmas sadly.
