Turkey (Sadiq Adnan) x Reader

Nations roamed around the meeting room in search of their desired target. Valentine's Day coincided with the meeting day and nations decided to take advantage of the mix up by giving chocolates to their favourite nations or to solidify relations between the two countries. (Y/N) watched Heracles hand Kiku a box of chocolates with a small smile on his face. The Japanese nation, in turn, accepted the chocolates with red tinting his cheeks. She smiled at the sight and allowed her eyes to drift away from the pair. Her gaze focused itself on Sadiq. Heat rushed to her cheeks as she observed him.

She adored the way he held himself during the meetings. He emitted an air of importance, with a slight tint of humbleness to make others aware he didn't think himself above anyone else. She fiddled with the box of Lokma (Turkish Sweet Fried Dough) in her hands. She had liked the Turk for decades, but never had the courage to confess to him. She decided instead of a box of chocolates, she'd make something more familiar to him. (Y/N) watched in worry as Bella handed him a box of chocolates with a gorgeous smile.

Sadiq accepted them with a bright smile and thanked her for the sweets. (Y/N) looked away to blink away her forming tears. She placed the box of sweets on the table "There's no way he'll want something from me. I'm nothing compared to the other female nations." Heracles noticed her sour mood and easily made his way over to her "(Y/N)?" She looked up with teary eyes and he blinked in surprise "What's wrong?" She wiped away her tears "It's nothing." He sent her a look and she looked away "It's nothing important." He frowned and took a seat next to her. He continued to pester her to tell him what was bothering her.

Across the room, Sadiq looked throughout the meeting room for (Y/N). His blood ran cold at the sight of her together with Heracles. He clutched the box of chocolates in his hand and sent Heracles a death glare. He wanted to make his way over there and throw the Greek away from her, but he didn't want to upset her. He knew how much Heracles meant to her. He turned around at the feeling of someone behind him. Kiku smiled up at him with worry "Is something wrong?" He glanced over at (Y/N) and Heracles "No. It's nothing." Kiku sighed knowingly and placed a supportive hand on his shoulder "Why don't you go over there and ask Heracles to move? I'm sure he'd be willing to do it." Sadiq stared down at Kiku. Heracles would never move if he asked him to, but Kiku sounded certain.

He nodded and made his way over to the pair. (Y/N) noticed him coming and heat rushed to her cheeks. She didn't feel emotionally prepared to face him. Heracles smiled at her before turning to meet Sadiq with a small frown "What do you want?" Sadik glared at him. He held back an urge to shove him out of the way "I want to talk to (Y/N). Can you move?" Heracles opened his mouth to say 'I don't know. Can I?', but stopped at the slight glare Kiku sent him. He silently nodded and left with a small smile sent at (Y/N). Sadiq took Heracles' seat and smiled softly at her "Hey." She glanced down at her lap and fiddled with her fingers "Hi." They remained in silence as (Y/N)'s heart pounded in her chest.

She lifted her head "What did you want to talk to me about?" He glanced at the box of chocolates in his hands and frowned. The box had gotten slightly crushed during his attempt to calm down. She followed his gaze and smiled softly. He looked back up at her and placed the box in her hands "I wanted to give you these. Sorry about the condition." She ignored the pink dusting her cheeks as she smiled up at him "Thank you. I appreciate the gift." He nodded silently.

She picked up the box of sweets. She hesitated before handing them to him "I made Lokma for you. I know you like sweet food, and I figured I'd make something familiar for you." He stared at the box with red decorating his cheeks. With the box out of her possession she fiddled with her sleeve "I wanted to tell you...I like you." He looked up from the box of sweets "Really?" She shyly nodded as her cheeks reddened. He pulled her into a tight with a bright grin "I've liked you for a long time." She hugged him back and whispered, "I'm glad." Kiku watched the two from across the room with a fond smile and an annoyed Greek by his side.
