Sweden (Berwald Oxenstierna) x Reader

She sighed in content as she placed the last box down on the wooden floor. She straightened herself and stared at the room filled to the brim with cardboard boxes "Will we ever get this done?" She glanced over to her silent partner and smiled at the small frown on his face. His blonde hair remained frazzled and his blue eyes stared in annoyance at the large number of boxes that needed to be unpacked. She chuckled and nudged him lightly "We'll get this done Berwald." He hummed in determination and opened the first box.

She peeked under his arm and looked into the box that held the cups "Do we have a place for these?" Berwald lifted his head and examined the small kitchen in their new condo. He gestured toward the right cabinet and (Y/N) pondered the thought. She ran through a mental checklist and nodded in satisfaction "Can you put them away?" He nodded and sent her a small smile. Pink dusted her cheeks and she returned to looking at the boxes before her. It was extremely rare for the Swedish male to smile, despite their three-year relationship, and she cherished every smile he sent her way.

Berwald returned from his task with two glasses of water. She smiled up at him appreciatively and took the glass "This is a lot harder than we thought." He nodded in understanding and sat down on the surprisingly empty couch. He placed his hands on her waist and gently pulled her down onto his lap. She smiled slightly and allowed herself to relax in his embrace. "Berwald?" "Hm?" "Did we make the right decision?" He remained silent and she decided to continue "I mean are we rushing things? We aren't even married yet, but we just bought a house together." She looked into his blue eyes for an answer but came up empty.

She sighed and leaned back against his chest once again. He placed a soft kiss on her cheek and smiled softly "D'n't w'rry. W' d'd th' r'ght th'ng. Jag älskar dig." She smiled at his native language and nodded "You're right. This is the right choice." She stood up from his lap filled with energy and grinned at him "Let's get back to work." He stood and pecked her lips softly and nodded. She remained frozen to the spot as he walked away to finish unpacking.

Hours later the boxes had been unpacked and the young couple stood in the middle of the living room with satisfied expressions. "(Y/N)." She looked up at her boyfriend and smiled questioningly. He opened his mouth to speak but stopped at the sound of the doorbell. A small frown formed on his face and he glared at the door. (Y/N) rushed to open the door and smiled at their guests. Mathias enveloped her in a tight hug "It's been so long (Y/N)!" Berwald frowned at the sight and promptly removed his girlfriend from the Dane's arms.

Mathias brushed off the act and greeted him soon after. The other Scandinavian nations entered the house after exchanging greetings with the two owners. (Y/N) rushed around the small condo in order to satisfy the needs of their unexpected guests. Berwald moved to help her, but she sent him a small smile and told him to relax. He moved to protest and she sent him a glare "Rest up. You deserve some rest." He silently listened to her request.

The once silent condo filled with noise as the Scandinavian nations chatted and fought with each other. (Y/N) often found herself mediating between Mathias and Berwald. She placed a comforting hand on her boyfriend's shoulder and pushed him back down to his seat "Just ignore him. Mathias says some dumb things." Berwald immediately relaxed as Mathias shouted his protest in the background. He pulled her onto his lap and buried his face in the crook of her neck. Everything felt right when she was near him.

The chatting slowed down as the night progressed and soon their guests were sleeping on the floor. (Y/N) placed a blanket over Emil and moved to take a seat next to her lover. She cuddled into his side and he placed a loving arm around her waist. She gazed at her sleeping guests and smiled "We made the right choice." He smiled and hummed in agreement. He leaned down and placed his lips upon hers. She smiled in the kiss and pulled him a little closer. "Go to the bedroom!" Emil shouted and the couple pulled away. (Y/N) looked at a blushing Emil and chuckled "You're still a kid Emil." He protested and glared at her. (Y/N) looked at Berwald and smiled. She wouldn't change a thing.

Author's Note:

Jag älskar dig = I love you according to google translate, which I don't trust considering it has butchered so many languages, but with his accent I love you is a bit hard to write in English considering the singular letter I at the beginning.

Anyways, this one has a bit of a homey feel to it I guess. I hope you enjoyed it.

The next one is the Netherlands, which is a bit angsty, and a bit less like this.

Thank you for continuing to support me.
