Lithuania (Toris Laurinaitis) x Reader

A delicious smell wafted out of the kitchen and (Y/N) fidgeted on the spot as she patiently waited to be called in. Toris walked into the waiting area and smiled at the sight. She looked away from the door and smiled at Toris "How was your talk with Mr. America?" "It went good. I'm grateful for all the help he gives me" he explained, "How about you? How is your country doing?" She flinched at the question "It's surviving. There's not much more I can say." Silence loomed over the two at the less than fortunate reality. "(Y/N)! Get your ass in here!" A harsh voice called out and (Y/N) immediately brightened "Coming Lovino!"

She raced into the kitchen and Toris sighed. He hadn't meant to depress her with the question. He would never mean to harm his crush. He peeked into the kitchen to notice her laughing with Lovino. He looked away as his chest tightened in pain. He knew she could never love him. She was in love with Lovino. He walked away from the kitchen in search of Alfred.

Lovino placed the plate of food in front of her. She patiently waited for his approval as she stared at the delicacy mere inches away from her. Lovino chuckled "Go ahead. Enjoy the food bella." She grinned at him before digging into her food. Lovino watched her in amusement. He blinked as he remembered hearing Toris' voice "Was Toris out there with you?" She looked up from her food and nodded. She swallowed the food in her mouth "He joined me a few moments before you called me in." "What did you guys talk about?" He questioned, absentmindedly rolling a tomato across the counter.

She placed her utensils down "We were talking about the state of our countries. It was a bit awkward though." She sighed as she leaned back in the chair "Did I do something wrong? It seems like he doesn't like me." Lovino remained silent as he allowed her to think about their relationship. She looked over at her close friend Lovino "It's so hard having a crush on someone who doesn't like you. I don't think my heart can handle this anymore." Lovino frowned and pulled her into a tight hug to comfort her.

Toris knocked on Alfred's door and patiently waited for the signal to enter. "Come in" Alfred called out. Toris opened the door and peeked into the office. Alfred greeted him with a bright smile "Hey there. Was there more stuff you wanted to talk about?" Toris shyly nodded and took a seat "It's about (Y/N)." Alfred paused his writing and leaned forward on his desk interested "What about her?" Pink dusted Toris' cheeks "I need advice on how to get over her." Alfred frowned "Why? Shouldn't you pursue her instead?" The baltic nation shook his head "I can't. She's in love with Lovino." Alfred thought about the two nations and sighed knowingly. He massaged his temples "Perhaps I should send you home earlier? Would distance help you get over her?" Toris considered the thought.

He would miss her, but at the same time seeing her with Lovino caused him immense pain. He nodded "Please Mr. America." Alfred sighed and nodded "Alright. You can leave tomorrow." Toris sent him a soft smile "Thank you." He stood up to leave the room. "Toris" Alfred called out. He stopped to look over at his host "Yes?" Alfred sent him a small smile "I'm going to miss you. Take care of yourself." He ignored the tears forming in his eyes "Thank you." He left the room to prepare for his journey.

She gazed out the window in boredom. She wondered how she could potentially fix her broken relationship with Toris. She closed her eyes and leaned her head against the window. Sleep slowly overcame her as her thoughts died out. Her dreams were filled with Toris and her together. She awoke at the sound of a knock "Come in." Lovino entered the room with a sad smile present on his face "Did you hear?" She shook her head "No. I fell asleep." Lovino glanced at the floor "I'm sorry." She blinked "For what? You didn't do anything Lovino."

He sat down next to her and wrapped her in a tight hug "Toris left. He'll be in Lithuania now." She opened her mouth to reply, but no sound came out. She clutched onto Lovino as tears spilled down her cheeks. The pair remained silent as she continued to sob into Lovino's shoulder. He pulled away and wiped away her tears "It'll be okay. Maybe you can see him in the future." She ignored the comment "He didn't say goodbye. Did he hate me that much that he didn't want to tell me he was leaving?" She allowed the pain to envelop her as she pulled Lovino close again.

Note

This chapter is based on a comic strip where Lithuania is staying with America. I don't think Lithuania and Romano were staying with America at the same time, but I put him in as the emotional support friend.

There are two endings I guess for this and you can choose whichever one you like more:

1. The happy ending where they meet again at the world meeting and everything is explained. They get together in the end and all is well.

2. She disappears. She's staying with America because her country isn't strong enough to support itself, and even with America's help her country still falls and she's absorbed by a stronger nation. It'd be cool if Russia was the one to absorb her because then it's like he's torturing Lithuania even more, but I'm not that mean, so I mean it's not official, but you can believe what you want to.

I hope you enjoyed this emotional rollercoaster though, but don't worry the other one isn't as angsty.

The next character is Turkey.
