The next day, Song Jia barrelled into Nova's office with a fierce expression.

She burst open the door and announced, "You..."

The word had barely gotten out of her mouth when a strong force pushed her out of the door, and Song Jia blinked as Nova dragged her out of his office by the wrist.

"886, we finally have a solution to our problem!"

His voice was in a flat monotone, but Song Jia didn't know why, she instinctively felt that her normally calm A.I. boss was excited.

Song Jia blinked. She still didn't state her problem with him, right?

It was also her first time to see Nova out of his office.

Although his hand was wrapped around her wrist, Song Jia could not feel any sensation from him, just like any normal hologram.

However, he was still dragging her towards the direction of her astral pod.

Song Jia was determined to continue her complaint, "Boss, I learned that our salary actually increases with the rank of the male god we encounter. That means that my basic pay should have some additional bonus! Counting the number of rank SSS male gods in my missions, subtracting the tax, you owe me over a million credits!"

Nova paused, but continued on walking as if he didn't hear her. Song Jia wasn't bothered by this. Even if he pretended not to listen, this grandma will definitely not stop pestering him!

"Also, there was something else that I discovered. My first mission with Zhao Cheng echoed the Han dynasty of planet Earth, right? It was considered the golden age of ancient China, with amazing achievements in technology, trade, and government. At the end of it, nomads attacked from the north and split the country into three kingdoms.

"More importantly, just after the Han dynasty ended, the medieval age in Europe started, which echoed the timeline of my second mission. Then the 21st century with Lin Yitian, and what seemed like the apocalypse of the 21st century...in short, all of my transmigration missions have a linear timeline!"

Of course, this was only Song Jia's speculation. She had known from her fellow transmigrators that they had missions shuttling from the past to the present, and back to the past again.

But why is it that with her, all of her missions seemed to have gone consistently forward in time?

This was what she wanted to confirm during her fourth mission. And when she realized that her mission was set in what seemed like the end of the 21st century, Song Jia finally started to doubt Nova's intentions.

"886, you know that the air is saturated with nanobots, right?"

At last, Nova stopped walking and looked at her. They had reached the room where her astral pod was located.

Thrown off by his sudden question, Song Jia nodded her head.

Decades ago, there was an airborne virus that nearly wiped out the population in one of the planets in Yueji, another planetary system. To prevent something similar happening in the near future, the galactic alliance decided to release nanobots into the atmosphere to wipe out pathogens that might cause any diseases.

Not only could nanobots wipe out deadly pathogens before they could cause a disease, they could also clean the air of toxic gases, dust, and harmful UV rays. What's more, since nanobots were mixed into the atmosphere, it was inevitable that humans would inhale it and saturate the blood circulation.

This result only brought them endless benefits. Nanobots repaired damaged cells and even corrected genetic deficiency, along with faster delivery of medicine into the organs of the human body.
