Fortunately, it didn't take long for the zombies to leave.

Song Jia pressed her ear against the door, but couldn't hear anything. Ouyang Che went down on all fours and tried to peer into the gap between the door and the floor.

"I think they're gone," Song Jia said after a while. She looked down at Ouyang Che. "What about you? Can you see them?"

Ouyang Che squinted his eyes, "I can't see anything. I don't know if they're gone or not."

Song Jia frowned, and went down on all fours beside him. Because there wasn't much space, their heads nearly bumped against each other on the floor. If seen from the side, the two of them looked like they were kowtowing to each other.

She asked Ouyang Che, "What do you mean you can't see anything?"

"He can't see anything because he's blind. They're already gone," Ye Minzhe said.

Song Jia and Ouyang Che froze. In unison, they turned their heads to look at the extra person that suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

Ye Minzhe squatted not far away from them, his chin propped in his hands as he gave them a radiant smile. His head was tilted sideways, his jet-black hair with its slight curls framing his handsome face.

"What are you two doing? Keeping a secret from me?" He laughed, but his laughter sounded more like the devil, making the two people who were listening to him shiver. "The two of you are so close, I'm a bit jealous."

Song Jia and Ouyang Che quickly stood up. Ye Minzhe also lazily rose up, crossing his arms and looking at the two of them.

Song Jia remembered the mark he had left on her neck. She pursed her lips and walked forward to open the door. The two of them had just recently made up, but she didn't want to talk to him again.

He was obviously her brother, but he was doing those kind of indecent things! Song Jia felt that she should keep her distance, so that Ye Minzhe would avoid becoming confused about their relationship.

"What, ignoring me?"

Ye Minzhe also walked forward and just before Song Jia touched the knob, he blocked her way to the door. Song Jia quickly retracted her hand, as if she didn't want to touch him.

Ye Minzhe's eyes turned cold. "Ye Jia, do I disgust you that much?"

Song Jia pursed her lips and said nothing.

Ye Minzhe's eyes darkened. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her out of the door. Like he had said, there were no longer any zombies roaming on the corridor. He was still holding her wrist, so Song Jia started to struggle.

"Ye Minzhe, let go!"

Suddenly, Ye Minzhe released her wrist. They had reached the farthest section of the corridor, where a yellow plastic bucket was lying around, along with a wet floor sign. Song Jia realized that it was a commercial bucket and wringer set for mops.

Before she could react, Ye Minzhe picked up the yellow bucket, took two steps back, and poured all of the dirty water over his head.

Song Jia was stunned.

Ye Minzhe wiped his face with his arm. He said, "Ye Jia, I admit that I was mean to you before. I shouldn't have done all those things and I deeply regret it. I apologize!"

His voice was too loud, so instead of asking for forgiveness, it seemed as if he was picking a fight with her instead.

Song Jia's lips twitched.

"If you also want to bite me, then bite me! If you also want to beat me, go ahead!"

Ye Minzhe was about to hand over the axe that he was holding to her, forgetting that he had already replaced his baseball bat. After a moment of embarrassment, he simply pointed to her makeshift quarterstaff.

"You can beat me anywhere, I won't resist," he told her solemnly. "Beat me until you're satisfied. Don't worry, my skin is thick. I won't get hurt easily."

It was the first time she saw someone easily offer his own body to be beaten by another person. Wasn't he afraid that she would do as he said and beat him up? He was so strong, but he was willing to be beaten down like a dog.

"Ye Minzhe, what you did to me wasn't that bad to the point that I need to beat you up. You don't need to do this."

He stared at her. His jet-black hair, usually curly but now wet and straight, hung over his forehead and obscured his eyes.

"Ye Jia, you're lying. You're going to ignore me again!"

His tone was full of grievances.

Song Jia couldn't help but laugh. "So you're just saying sorry to make me stop ignoring you?"

Ye Minzhe's mind went blank, his expression looking a bit stupid. It was the first time she sincerely smiled at him.

"Ye Minzhe, what's wrong with you?"

Song Jia frowned. His expression didn't look right.

Ye Minzhe blinked. He repeated his earlier words, "Ye Jia, don't lie, you're going to ignore me again!"

Song Jia, "..."

Did his BT disease return back? Why was he repeating himself like a broken record?

Ye Minzhe saw that this time, his words had no effect. She didn't laugh, making him feel dissatisfied.

"Jia, why aren't you smiling? You clearly laughed at those words earlier!"

Song Jia was speechless listening to him.

Why was this older brother of hers so stupid?

"Ye Minzhe, sometimes I really hope we aren't related by blood."

A slender figure suddenly ran up beside Ye Minzhe, carrying a white towel. It was Ding Xiuxiu.

"Minzhe, what are you doing? Why did you suddenly do that?" She fussed over him, with a worried expression on her beautiful face.

She cutely stomped her feet, "What if you get sick? Oh, I really don't know what to do with you!"

Ye Minzhe grabbed the towel from her hands and used it to wipe off his hair. He shook his head, causing his hair to scatter droplets on the floor. Coincidentally, the mop water he used wasn't as dirty as the one that was poured over Song Jia, so he didn't smell as bad.

Long Aotian pacified Ding Xiuxiu who had been pushed away by Ye Minzhe, shaking his head with a soft 'tsk.'

"Ye Minzhe, you've gotten crazy."

Ye Minzhe was in a good mood and didn't argue. He flung the towel over his shoulder and it wasn't clear what he was thinking of, but he suddenly curled his lips upwards.

"Aotian, you forgot, I was crazy from the start."
