In a large white room, the noise of 'di di di' from machines constantly sounded. Expensive equipment was arranged neatly around a large bed, where a person lay sleeping.

His eyelashes fluttered with his every breath, casting shadows on his pale cheeks. His skin was jade-white, as if untouched by the dirtiness of the world. His black hair was a little messy, but it only lent him an aura of purity, as locks of hair hung over his forehead, some of the strands gently curling at the ends.

The white curtains fluttered gently because of the breeze that came in from the open window.

Suddenly, the 'di di di' of the machines became louder, as if in alarm. By the time the breeze had gone away and the curtains had lain flat once again, the person that had been sleeping on the bed only a second ago was already standing in the middle of the room.

Xu Jinhai directly shut down all of the medical machines. The alarms had given him a headache, and he couldn't endure the high-pitched noise that they made.

[The patient is awake?]

[Hurry up and check!]

[I need to quickly contact the ambassadors of each planetary system!]

[I heard in the news that several players died in the virtual reality game, but he actually survived...]

As soon as he woke up, loud thoughts bombarded his head. Xu Jinhai gritted his teeth at the overwhelming amount of information his psychic powers constantly fed him.

It wasn't only just telepathy. The way he sensed the world was very different from ordinary people. Right now, even while he was simply standing inside the room, his awareness of everything that was happening around him could almost reach a state of omniscience.

Before, Xu Jinhai would only bear with it and make himself deliberately unconscious. But now, from his dreams of his past lives, he had surprisingly found himself a cheat.

Xu Jinhai focused all of his attention on searching for the mental imprint of a single person. Because it took all of his focus, the overwhelming flood of information entering his brain slowed down to a trickle.

Xu Jinhai had never tried to expand his consciousness to such large area before. Not to mention that the planetary systems were far away from each other, if Song Jia wasn't in the planet that he was currently in, finding her mental imprint was close to impossible.

As expected, even though he searched for her mental imprint until there was a painful and throbbing sensation in his temples, Xu Jinhai couldn't find her.

The door burst open.

"Jinhai!"

The first to enter was Xu Jinhai's parents, followed by a medical team. His psychic powers wasn't a secret. Ever since he was young, he had been shuttled from one laboratory after another, undergoing physical and mental examination. Aside from Planet Yujinxiang, his home planet, the other planetary systems had also taken an interest in his condition.

Xu Jinhai had long since grown numb from the various needles that pricked his skin and the electrodes that were plastered all over his body. Xu Jinhai frequently wished for his overwhelming psychic abilities to disappear. Living like this, he felt that sooner or later, it was going to drive him to the brink of insanity.

Xu Jinhai allowed his parents to hug him but refused when the medical doctors tried to test his brain waves again.

"Jinhai, how are you feeling?" His mother stared at him with concern. "You've been comatose for nearly a year. We tried to bring you out of the VR game you were playing, but we couldn't."
