Requested by Rushiman, hope you like it!

Extra info: this is a request a bit different! As requested, a human reader finds Lobsters and Purple Yam, and show him that humans aren’t that bad.

The last thing (Y/N) expected when she went to take a stroll on the beach was to find two cookies there.

Two living cookies.

She had heard someone screaming very faintly, and (Y/N) didn’t think twice before running in the direction of the sound.

But instead of finding someone in danger or hurt, she found herself in front of a group of seagulls, that were trying to get something from inside a crystal jar someone had left there.

But what was more surprising was that the two voices came from inside said jar. Very tiny creatures, one purple and the other blue.

“Go away giant creature, or you will face the power of my claw!”

“You are making me angry!”

(Y/N) had to take a moment, pinching herself to make sure she wasn’t sleeping or anything.

But no, it was all very real.

“...okay help now, questions later”

She took a step closer, and the seagulls finally noticed her presence. Their attention focused on her, beware of her movements.

“BOO!”

The seagulls quickly flew away, leaving her with the two strange small creatures. That were now looking in her direction, still inside the jar.

“First those giant birds, now a human… I’m not scared of using my claw against you, human!” The small blue creature said, trying to be intimidating.

“Hey hey, I’m not going to hurt you. I helped you after all” she said as she carefully grabbed the jar, lifting it to her eye level.

“Yeah right. That’s what you say, so we drop our guards and you can eat us!” The purple one said, making her blink again.

“Eat?”

“Humans eat cookies. How can we know you won’t do that?”

Now that she looked closely at them, she realized that they, in fact, looked like cookies.

Living cookies

(Y/N) asked herself again if she was dreaming.

“...alright that’s a fair point. But uh, I’m not going to do that. Why would I?” she said as she looked at them. But the glare both gave her told (Y/N) they didn’t trust her words.

“Okay it’s fair you don’t trust me. I get it. But uh, should I at least leave you somewhere? I don’t think leaving you here with those seagulls is a good idea” she said, looking up for a moment to watch the seagulls flying by, waiting for the opportunity to try to grab the two living cookies.

“We… are unsure. We somehow ended here and don’t know our way back” The blue one said, earning a hum from her.

“Well that’s...that’s bad. I can’t just leave you here, you don’t stand a chance against them” she muttered, unsure of what to do.

The two cookies sighed. It seemed like they didn’t know what to do either.

“Look I… I could bring you to my house. Safe space and no one there except me. I know you don’t trust me, but I worry about what could happen if I leave you two alone. I promise you I won’t hurt you”

The two of them looked at each other for what seemed like an eternity for (Y/N).

“... Okay, but if you try anything funny human, you will face my claw”

“And my mace!”

That’s how (Y/N) ended up with two living cookies in her house.

She learned they actually had names. Purple Yam and Lobster, which were very fitting when she looked at them closely.

(Y/N) had given them a small toy house she still had around, guessing it was the best place for them since it was their size.

She also learned their basic food were jellies. Which made sense if she thought about it. What else would a cookie eat?

And so she bought them a package of diverse gummies. Small for her, but with enough jellies for them for a good few days.

As days passed, the two cookies seemed to relax around her presence, and even started conversations with her.

Purple Yam told her about his adventures with this other cookie called Milk, and how he had defeated very strong foes. Even a dragon once.

Lobsters, on the other hand, had described her of Sugarteara was. The city he had sworn to protect a long time ago and was hidden in the depth sea.

They even told her all they knew about the cookie kingdom, and she always listened very closely, amazed by all they told her. A place with living cookies, creatures made of different ingredients, different types of magic…

Other people wouldn’t believe that, but she had two living cookies in her house after all. Everything was possible at that point.

And (Y/N) had to admit she loved to hear the stories and talk with the two of them, becoming one of her favourite parts of the day.

Nothing better than coming from work just to hear amazing stories.

“Hey, (Y/N)” Purple Yam said one day, breaking the comfortable silence that had been around them as they ate.

“Yes?”

“...you aren’t that bad for a human” he said with a small smile, earning a nod from Lobster.

“I agree. We are grateful you are letting us stay until we find our way back home”

She couldn’t help but smile at the two small cookies.

“And thank you. For showing us not all humans are bad”
