(with extra of found family with Walnut as requested)

This was an anonymous request, hope the person likes it!

“It’s a bit cold today, isn’t it?” she said with a soft voice as she offered the small cookie a cup of hot chocolate, which she took with a smile.

“Yeah, but I can’t wait to go out later” Walnut said with a bright smile, earning a chuckle from her.

“Of course, as soon as you are done with breakfast. Right, dear?” she said as she took a seat near the other cookie, who hummed in agreement with a smile behind the newspaper.

The cookie took a sip of her own chocolate with a smile, her mind wandering on its own. If (Y/N) was honest with herself, she never thought she would end like this: the genius young detective having breakfast in front of her, and her infamous enemy sitting at her side, reading a newspaper with a content smile.

Walnut didn’t know about their identity. She had to admit they were good at hiding it.

And she helped to hide it herself, afraid of what could happen if the small one discovered. She felt it would happen at some point, that she will discover their identity… and she worried about that if she was honest.

A hand on her shoulder made her blink, and she met their gentle gaze as she looked up.

“Thinking about that again, my jewel?” they asked softly. (Y/N) realized she had probably been staring at her cup for a while.

“Yeah… sorry, I just can’t help but worry sometimes” she said softly, and they gently put an arm around her shoulders, bringing her closer.

“Is okay my love. Don’t worry about what can happen, we will manage if the time comes. For now let us enjoy the moment” Roguefort said, giving the top of her head a gentle kiss. A smile formed on her face, and she let herself relax for a moment against them.

“I’m ready!” Walnut, who had gone to her room without her noticing, said happily as she entered the kitchen again. Both adults smiled.

“Great. Let me clean this and we will be ready to go”

The three of them walked around the now festivity town, looking around the various lights and decoration for the holidays. Walnut walked ahead of them, looking at the different displays with sparkles in her eyes. A reminder that even if she acted like an adult, she was still a kid.

One of their hands hold hers as they walked, giving it soft squeeze here and there. And when she looked at them, they always smiled at her. Looked at her like she was the most precious thing in the world.

She didn’t know what would happen in the future, but she was sure to treasure those small moments like her biggest treasure.
