Lobster x octopus! Reader

The cookie sighed as they looked outside the window, the faint glow of the temple in the distance. Lobster had gone to the temple once more, destroying the barrier that protected it his only goal. But they knew Mocha Ray. They knew it was basically impossible to destroy the barrier.

"Lobster..." they thought, the tentacles-like-hair in their head moving as they turned their head around as the door opened. The cookie had been so depth in thoughts they had missed Lobster returning.

(Y/N) looked at Lobster as he came inside, a tired look on his face as he left his crystal claw in the table. Their worried eyes followed Lobster's figure as he walked to his room, closing the door behind him.

"Oh dear..." they said softly as they walked to the table. The usually shiny claw was now full of scratches, probably caused for hitting the barrier too many times. The cookie looked at the door once more before looking again at the claw.

"Lobster had done so much for us... for me. It's time I do something for him"

He went out of his room an hour later, a surprised look on his face as he saw the now shiny claw.

"(Y/N), did you... did you do that?" he said softly as they entered the room, a cup of his favourite drink on their hands. The cookie smiled shyly at him as they nodded.

"Is the last thing I can do" they said softly, earning a soft smile from Lobster.

"...thank you. It means a lot" he said as he put the claw back in place, grabbing the cup from their hands after.

They sat down in comfortable silence, their head resting on his side as he took a sip from his drink.

"I thought I could do it this time, you know? I guess I was wrong... again" he said softly after a few minutes. They smiled gently at him as one of their tentacles went to his face, drying the tears that were falling from his eyes.

"It's okay Lobster... one day you will find a way, I'm sure" they said with a soft voice, smiling when he leaned into their touch.

"...you are right. Thank you, for being here with me (Y/N)"
