Slowly opening her eyes, the girl was blinded by sun rays coming through the window. Cover sheets laid comfortably on top of her small form. Slowly getting out of bed, she was greeted by a few knocks at the door.

'Fae...' The door quietly opened and showed a slightly older child than herself.

'Oh hey,-----! Is Mum making breakfast?'

The boy smiled brightly before answering, 'Yep! She said Papa is coming to visit us for a bit by lunch time!' He quickly ran up to her and patted her head. The warm feeling of his touch brought a smile to the girl's face. The boy grabbed her tiny hands in his and gently lead her down the hall. The hall was lined with pictures of three to four people. She smiled to herself seeing the pictures in frames.

The hallway opened up into the kitchen where two table stool stood and by the table a woman with long, black, unkempt hair. Her hair was similar to the boy's but a bit more curly on the ends, as it fall down her shoulders until it reach the bottom of her back. She seemed to always wear her hair like this. She was pretty tall for a woman, her form firm, showing no unnecessary movement, as she dashed across the kitchen, humming to herself. Her pale skin was the same is the red haired girl's. The girl turned to face the boy beside her and tried to look at the boy's face but for some reason-

His eyes were shadowed over, all except his lower face, he had two beauty marks under his right eye. He wore a vest with a black turtle neck underneath, along with some baggy brown pants that won't look messy when dirtied. His black hair tied up in a small ponytail, just to keep his bangs out of his face. His skin was a bit tanned than the girl's and mother's, it was probably a gene passed down from the father or something.

'C'mon Fae! Let's hurry and eat so we can go out and fix our special hideout..!' He leaned over to her ear and whispered. The woman looked at them with a knowing smile.

The girl started digging in, the grits in front of her were slobbered with cheese and sausages. Just how she likes it..

Once she was finished, she thanks her Mum and hurried out the door with the boy.

'Don't get into any trouble you two! Watch out for the shady people..! And come back when it's lunch time, you squirts!' They children heard their mother shout from the house.

They were now racing down the streets, their shoes, 'clacking', against the stone pavement. Somehow and in someway the two children were now chasing each other, and when they caught up with the other, they will be tackled. The boy had tackled the girl, and now they were rolling down a hill. They looked like a armadillo from another person's view if they walked past them. As they tumbled down the hill, they ran into a river.

Water splashed everywhere when they fell from each-other. The boy laid there laughing as he was spread out like a starfish. The girl sat up, giggling.

'You look like that weird star thing!' She giggled.

'Not like you are!' The boy smirked.

'What do you mean?' The girl tilted her head, water dribbling down her face.

'Well your middle name is Marie, right?' The boy now sat up beside her, smiling like a fool.
