everyone was at the masquerade ball and they were keeping their eye out for katherine to set the plan in motion.
"you see her?" damon asked stefan and may.
"nope." stefan replied.
"not a manipulative bitch in sight." may replied.
"sure you can do this?" stefan asked damon.
"pfft. who are you talking to?" damon asked him.
"i had the chance to kill her, and i hesitated." stefan said.
"well, that is the fork in the road between you and me, my friend. i don't hesitate." damon said.
"i mean, you spent 145 years loving her. it could happen." stefan reminded him.
"i won't hesitate." damon said again.
"okay." stefan said.
the three of them split of to go around the lockwood property, searching for katherine.
may adjusted the gloves she was wearing to make sure the stakes hidden in them weren't showing.
"mabel." katherine said as she appeared beside her.
"get away from me, katherine." may told her in an annoyed tone.
"i think i know why you don't like me, you want stefan all to yourself." katherine said as may chuckled.
"now, katherine if you truly believed that you would've killed me by now because you know stefan would fall in love with me any day before falling in love with you." may said as katherine got an angry look on her face.
"now, if you excuse me old lady, i've got a martini calling my name." may said before she walked away from her.

the room that bonnie spelled was ready to go but katherine ended up killing someone.
"i put the body in the trunk for now." stefan said.
"we'll dump her when we get back." damon told him.
"this is exactly what i didn't want, damon." stefan said.
"stefan, its collateral damage." damon said.
"right. which is why we need to call it off." stefan said.
"what?" both may and damon said.
"who's hesitating now? hey. don't do this to me. this woman ruins our lives. she destroyed us. tonight it ends. we can do it together. i got your back. all right." damon said placing his hands on stefans shoulders.

after the mini freakout, damon texted bonnie that they were ready.
jeremy went to tell katherine where to meet them while caroline waited for her signal.
after getting the text from jeremy, she told katherine bonnie was upstairs with the moonstone.
"why do you keep dragging me into this? i don't want any part in it." caroline said as her and katherine got closer to damon, stefan and may.
"shut up. which room is it?" katherine asked her.
"it's that one." caroline said making katherine enter the room.
