rebekah and kol took shane into a different room and rebekah compelled them not to get up.
"may, are you okay?" stefan asked her.
"peachy, i should be asking you that, though." may said.
"still glued to your seats? ooh, it's thick with tension in here. let's spice things up a bit. elena, truth or dare?" rebekah said once she came back in the room.
"we're done playing your stupid games, rebekah." stefan told her.
"truth or dare, elena? you're compelled. answer." rebekah said.
"dare." elena replied.
"i dare you to tell stefan the truth about damon." rebekah said.
"seriously?" caroline said.
"aren't you like a million years old? why are you acting like you're 16?" may said.
"being with damon makes me happy." elena said.
"makes you happy? clowns make you happy, elena. dig a little deeper." rebekah told her.
"when i'm with him... it feels unpredictable, like... like i'm free." elena said.
"and how do you feel when you're with stefan?" rebekah asked her.
"stop." caroline said.
"she can't. she's compelled." rebekah replied.
"lately, i feel like i'm a project, like i'm a problem that needs to be fixed. i think i make him sad, and i can't be with someone like that because... when he looks at me, all he sees is a broken toy." elena admitted.

"are you still in love with stefan?" rebekah asked.

"yes." stefan replied which made elena's expression turn to sadness.
"welcome to the last 900 years of my life." rebekah said.
just then, tyler ran into the room and caroline's face lit up when she saw him.
"ah, good, you're here. it was just getting depressing." rebekah said to him.
"what the hell is going on?" tyler asked her.
"listen to the rules carefully. stay in the building. no vamp running in the hallways." rebekah said.
"vamp running from what?" caroline asked.
"turn." rebekah said compelling tyler.
"what?" elena said.
"woah, woah, woah." may said.
"he can't. he'll lose control." caroline said.
"that's the whole point. i've exhausted all your knowledge. now i have the professor to help me find the cure, you're just competition. whoever finds it first gets to decided what to do with it: use it, share it, destroy it, save it... i want that to be me." rebekah said.
"but if i turn, i'll kill them." tyler said.
"yes, you will. turn." rebekah said before she left the room.
