stefan, damon and may went down to the tomb to go talk to katherine.
"let's do it." damon said before the two of them grabbed either side of the door.
"one, two, three." stefan counted before they removed the door that shut her in.
"please, come on in. there's plenty of room for all of us." katherine said.
"i'd rather poke my eyes out." damon replied.
"mm. they're such pretty eyes." katherine said.
"we're here for the moonstone." stefan told her.
"feel like tossing it over?" damon asked her.
"tell you what. ahem. you get your little witch to hocus pocus me out of here, you can have whatever you want." katherine said.
"oh, as if." may said.
"i thought you liked it in here. nice and safe, where klaus can't get to you." stefan said.
"i believe you said you'd be the safest psychotic bitch in town?" may said.
"i've had time to reconsider." katherine replied.
"meaning you're hungry." damon said.
"i'm starving, damon. and dirty. but above all, i'm bored. at least running from klaus wasn't boring. so here's the deal. you get me out of here... you get the moonstone, and i'll disappear from mystic falls forever. let me know what you decide." katherine said holding up the moonstone.

after the talk with katherine, they got bonnie to agree to help them get the moonstone from katherine.
they now had to go to elena's to tell her what their plan was.
"hi. uh, can we talk?" stefan asked as elena opened the door.
"why?" elena asked as stefan looked at damon.
"we went to see katherine." damon said.
"come on in." elena replied as the three of them walked into the house.
they sat in the kitchen and told elena what katherine wanted in exchange for the moonstone.
"you don't believe her, do you?" elena asked.
"no, of course not. we just want the moonstone." damon said as he threw an orange back and forth in his hands.
"according to rose's friend slater, there's a way to destroy the spell that klaus wants to break." stefan explained.
"no spell, no doppelgänger sacrifice. ergo, you live." damon said.
"and we all live happily ever after." may said.
"how do you destroy it?" elena asked.
"by releasing it from the moonstone." stefan explained.
"how do you guys even know if this is gonna work?" elena asked.
"because we have a crafty witch on our side." damon replied.
"you discussed it with bonnie." elena said with a sigh.
