Her old debt's: XI

Adleth kept a close eye out on her surroundings. The rustling clothes of city folk always hid an underlying trap of guards. They were everywhere, in the shops, on the streets, in every single small alley you could find. Waiting. For some idiot to make a wrong move, hold something they shouldn't hold. Or just have something they deemed not fit for someone of their 'Status' she felt it sicken her stomach. Pacing through the backally's Adleth brushed the dirty walls with her fingers watching the dust collect at the edges.

"Ya know I do say." Adleth ducked behind a dumpster as a city guard patrol passed by. 'Its You know, I'm thinking you illiterate fuck.' She thought to herself. "These roads seem way too quietly silent!" She sighed to the first guard's language.

"You know what Laurance?! I say you right. Something's going on around here." The second guard responded.

'Probably all the random acts of abusing your power probably scaring random citizens into being silent you idiots..' She thought to herself as the two guards passed by.

Adleth waited for two minutes behind the dumpster before slinking out of the shadow, pacing down the alleyway, two lefts, and a right later, she found herself staring at her hole in the wall. It was small, located in a back alley behind the dockward area. Located close enough for her to move the stuff various factions asked from her, but far enough to stay out of the guards watch range.

"I'm back" Adleth whispered, walking through the small door she had made for the place. Made out of cloth and wood tiles it definitely gave off the impression of a poor criminal's house.

"Oh finally! You got the coins Adleth?"

Her breath hitched slightly as she stared at Eilora. Eilora looked back at her with an impatient and expectant stare. Adleth sighed, remembering when they... 'Fuck that noise.' she wanted to puke. Thinking was one of those things left for after a long drink. Not now, not when she needed stuff.

"Yeah I got some." Adleth replied to her blackmailer. Pulling out the recent pouch she had gotten from Volo Adleth tossed the pouch to Eilora. Eilora's long brown hair was swept over her shoulder, the slant woman may have been a hundred and forty six but she certainly didn't carry that age being elvish. Adleth tried to smile lightly at her but was only met with a cold look.

"Fantastic, Iliris needs some new shoes. I bought some food for us to eat later, if you plan to stay." She rolled her eyes at Eilora's harsh tongue.

"Yeah maybe.." Adleth knew not to be snappy with this woman but regardless it didn't make this situation any better. She thought of the current mision she had, but the smell of the cramped home brought her back to reality.

"Where did you go last night? I would've expected you to sleep here." Adleth ignored Eilora as she pulled her bag out of her corner, placing her favored belongings into it.

"I stayed at the Yawning portal.." She replied trying to not sound like a theki root; bitter to the touch. "I got some money, so I'm running a gauntlet. I may not see you for a few days." She looked over to see Eilora's reaction but got nothing but cold contempt. It made her chest tighten just a little bit. She was foolish to expect anything else, or perhaps hopelessly naive.

"I see, well you could've just told me."

She sighed at Eilora's words. This was not a conversation she wanted to have. "Anyway, you're only at twenty left. So you can keep the cute desperate face on." Eilora remarked sweetly. Adleth grit her teeth but gave no response. 'I'll ram you against a wall..' She thought angrily, whether that was hateful or sexual the answer was always; yes.
