Silverhand: CXXV

Her grace.. Her grace was here. Riu wasn't sure if she should feel honored or embarrassed. To be visited by the open lord was always a massive occasion but that was usually applied to when they were coming to your home. Laeral Silverhand, the open lord of Waterdeep, or perhaps open lady? Who cares, it's amazing!

"Hello.. I assume you two are at least.. Part of the group I've been told about." Riu nodded, behind her sat Herod, Adleth, and Alekzandr. She and Markos sat in the front near the entrance eating from the pie. Something she found quite humorous.

"Yeah hi." Markos waved. Riu performed a curtsey, careful not to mess up before the open lord.

"I'm sure you know, I am Laeral Silverhand.. The open lord of Waterdeep." Laeral spoke in a friendly yet stern tone, which Riu forgave considering the circumstances of what was inside the vault.

"It's a pleasure to meet you." Riu smiled, she was hopeful that this kind of meeting would end.. Well for her.

"What's the password?" Markos didn't skip a beat. His voice was deeper and more careful. Looking over Riu believed she saw a flash of green in his eyes. Laeral frowned with Markos holding out his hand blocking the entrance. Instantly the guards in the march leveled their lances like they were well.. Trained for combat. Yet despite this harsh tone Laeral merely lifted up her hand alleviating the guards from attack readiness. Riu looked to Jalester who was rather confused but shrugged.

"Uh.. the password is.." His voice trailed off, while Laeral simply gestured to him.

"Well?" The lady asked. Jalester looked at the ground in somewhat defeat while Adleth sniggered in the background.

"The..." He started sadly. "The guards are bitches.." Laeral seemed to grow a blank face perhaps she was expecting something a bit more refined. Riu felt her face grow red hot. She had forgotten about that choice of password. Dangit that was embarrassing.

"Alright good, we just wanted to make sure you weren't like.. Imposters or anything." Markos shrugged. Riu silently prayed to every god in the forsaken pantheons that this would go without embarrassment- further.. Further embarrassment.

"Yeah, we don't want any of that.. None, none of that." Herod piped up, the warlock stepped forward.

"That is fair.. I have heard troubling reports on The Keepers of Chaos and interactions like that in the past." Laeral smiled but still pushed into the room with her guard. A word stuck in Herod's mouth as it seemed he tried to speak.

"Seriously though, who did give us that?" Herod started but he dropped it.

"Lady Silverhand.. It's an honor." Riu rapidly jumped to the occasion trying to cover up the lack of manners the rest were showing. While she didn't love groveling at the feet of fellow nobility she did understand when you were outgunned and respect would even the field.

"Anyway we found the vault, the golds here.. And did you happen to bring bridging supplies? I could've sworn he asked for bridging supplies." Markos continued.

"If you just follow us, My Lady.." Riu explained leading the way. Her friends moved to allow the culmination of guards' marches through. Though Adleth did seem to cover her face a little when they walked past. She descended the steps and lead Laeral and her men into the vault some of them seemed to oo or aw at the building but mostly followed without question. Odd, Riu wondered if she'd been some random woman wishing to entrap them if it could be this easy. "My guests.. Please close your eyes when you enter this next room-" She paused, looking into the front entrance of the vault she realized the bodies of the cultists were indeed still there though they were missing their cloaks- how on Selune did Markos already disrobe them? Laeral looked at the bodies and then back to Riu, she tried to give a pained smile. "Anyway in this next room is something you'd most definitely want to advertise your eyes too.. Just simply follow Markos." she pointed at Markos who was already deploying his familiar for the very purpose. "His familiar has a way of avoiding such hazards.."
