Choi Haewon POV

A day passed, and we were now saying in front of the school building, wearing casual clothes and preparing to meet the principal, and some other teachers. The eight of us walked into the building together and towards the office, we were supposed to hold the meeting.
Jay and Heeseung had dressed in proper attire such as black pants with shirts tucked in. The rest of us wore pretty chill clothes such as hoodies and big t-shirts.

We sat down in the chairs outside the office and waited for the rest to come and invite us in.

A few minutes passed by before we heard footsteps coming our way. We looked towards the sound and saw Hyunmin with his parents, Minhee, and four other students along with their parents.
Soon, the principal opened the door to the office and invited us all in.

"Before we start, may I know the reason why the six of you didn't bring your parents?" The old man gestured towards Heeseung, Jay, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Niki.
They looked everywhere else but him and started to answer his question one after one.

Heeseung: my dad is working

Jay: I don't know if he is in the states or here, but he is definitely working.

Sunghoon: they could not make it, work

Sunoo: thought it was a waste of time

Jungwon: cut contact

Niki: they are in Japan.

The man sighed and turned toward me and Jake who were waiting for us to be involved in the conversation. "Where are your parents, even if they didn't need to come?"

"My mother is working in Jeju" I answered and turned towards Jake.
"My family is in Australia"

"So you are telling me that none of you has a parental figure who can take responsibility over you? You're still in school for god's sake, you should be living with an adult-like figure nonetheless-" the principal sighed and opened his computer. "As a matter of fact I sent a mail to your contact person registered in your school file, but Mr. Jay Park here was the only one of you who had a parent that answered the mail"

Jay's face became pale. He, who had walked in here ready to win whatever he could, was now almost shaking.
I nudged Jungwon with my elbow and gesture him to look towards Jay who was almost losing it over the thought of his old man coming here. Jungwon took the hint a sat a little closer to him since he could not do so much due to the others being there.

A silence filled the air as we waited for Mr. Park to come. I took the time to look at the parents sitting on the other side of the room.
To be honest, most of them looked passed by the fact that their kids had made a bunch of trouble.
"Why don't we start discussing the consequences of their actions then" Hyunmins mother spoke up. She was a woman in her early forties who was dressed in a rather formal business attire that matched her attitude.
"I don't have time to wait for some people that don't come on time"

The other parents agreed. Simple as that.

Suddenly the door opened, and a man walked in. He wore a long coat with a suit underneath as if had just come from work.
"Ah, Mr. Park a pleasure to have you here" the principal cheered.
With one swift look at the man I knew who it was, the one person I didn't want in my life, and neither did he. My father.
