Nathanial Winters

When we all left for lunch one day I had decided to do something I normally wouldn't but I wanted to.

"Scarlett" I call over to the brunette who currently was bugging Zavier for being rejected by a girl earlier today.

When I called again she turned around to face me.

"Nathaniel" she yells back and I just shook my head before slipping on sunglasses and pulling on my leather jacket as she walked over to me.

"Yes" Scarlett says quirking an eyebrow at me.

"Want to go for a ride" I muse slipping on my gloves.

"On that?" she says eyeing my motorcycle.

For anyone who didn't know I owned one and on nice days like this I occasionally opted for it over my cars.

"You scared Scarlett?" I tease and she shoots me a glare before taking the helmet and gloves.

Slipping onto the bike I steadied it and waited for her to get on.

"Hold onto my waist" I instruct before starting the bike and scooting it back before turning to speed off.

"Make good choices you two, use protection" Zavier yelled after us before Theo and Lucian hit him in the back of the head.

As we zoomed away from the school I could feel Scarlett relaxing into my back and getting used to me driving.

"Where do you plan to take us?" she asks when I had slowed to a stop at a light.

"I was thinking ice cream followed by a walk in Central Park, we didn't get along well when we first met, and I'd like to change that" I reply before the light changed and I drove off weaving safely through traffic until we reached Central Park from which I could see the penthouse my parents owned.

I had spent a decent amount of time there over the years and even as a child my parents had heavily enforced the idea that all that we had was made from hard work and humility.

I would actually call my childhood normal, both of my parents had never actually spoiled us like most people would like to think we were. The world would convince you that we were given designer every week, and had ridiculously large allowances. All of us earned our money, and we definitely weren't allowed on the private jets, and yachts until a few years ago.

There were also nights Izzy and I would beg our parents to let us, but they wouldn't. They taught us that we could earn things, and when we did something wrong something would be taken away.

By the time I was allowed to attend Thornbrook all of us had a view on money and being this wealthy like our own parents. The lens was different by then kids wanted everything in the world and all this flashy stuff to seem wealthy, and it was through that that I learned how to pick out those that were the children of who even if I knew the family names.

Finding a spot I kicked out the stand and set the bike down before dismounting, and removing my gloves and helmet setting the gloves in the helmet before hanging it on the handle bars.

Scarlett then did the same before we began walking down the sidewalk in search of an ice cream shop, though I remembered that there was one in the park so it wouldn't actually be that hard to find any.

"Just so you know I'm not walking around the entirety of New York for ice cream at some point I will make you get it for me" Scarlett muses.

"Luckily for you I know exactly where we are going" I say turning down a path and leading her towards an ice cream parlor that had the best ice cream I had ever had at least in these kinds of environments.
