Summer was coming to an end and since the weather would cool off soon, the members of NCT decided to throw one last big summer party.

Throughout the three months of the hot months, the boys had thrown countless parties, barbeques, sleepovers, camping trips, but never had a pool party.

Taeyong and their manager arranged a weekend at a fancy hotel for them to celebrate at, them getting the large outdoor pool all to themselves. He was so excited to tell the boys hoping they could spend the time relaxing and taking a well-deserved break.

Taeyong came back to the dorms from a meeting finding the members scattered around the house doing their everyday activities.

"hey yong, how was the meeting?" johnny asked as he came up to the leader politely taking his bag and hanging it up.

"it was okay, I have to tell you guys something though." Taeyong purposefully frowned to give the older the impression that something was wrong.

Johnny flashed eyes of concern.

"is everything okay?"

Taeyong sighed in response.

"can you tell the boys to meet in the living room?"

Johnny nodded instinctively patting taeyong on the shoulder before running off to gather the others.

"hey guys, taeyong needs to see us." He said interrupting mark and haechan's game of Mario kart.

"woah is something wrong hyung?" Haechan asked pressing pause on his switch.

"I don't know but taeyong seems upset."

The other two jumped to their feet and followed the older into the living room.

Johnny collected all the boys including the dreamies until they were all sat in the living room, the feeling of anxiety thick in the air.

"what happened hyung? What did the manager say?" Jungwoo asked curiously.

"I don't know how to tell you guys this..."

"hyung you're scaring me, please tell us what's going on." Jaemin pleaded.

"you guys need to pack your things..."

The room went silent for a second.

"what!?" doyoung exclaimed.

"this is our last night in the dorm."

The dreamies looked close to tears. What did this mean? Were they disbanding?

"yong what...what do you mean?" jaehyun asked with wide eyes.

"you all have to pack your bags because..." he paused.

"we're having a weekend trip."

"wait, what?" mark said loudly.

Taeyong began to laugh watching the realization slowly appear on their faces.

"oh my god hyung you scared me!" Haechan whined.

"yeah hyung, that was so mean, we thought we were disbanding or something!" Chenle said wiping at his misty eyes.

"I'm sorry guys I just wanted to mess with you a little bit. We're staying at a super nice hotel this weekend so we can have an end of summer pool party!"

The mood was instantly lifted and bright smiled spread across the member's faces.

"a pool party!? That's so dope!" mark squealed.
