💖Calm Before The Storm (Ten X Yangyang)

Wayv were all hanging out in the living room just goofing around like usual. Ten and hendery were teasing yang yang when all of a sudden the tv made an alarming noise.

ATTENTION SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING THROUGH SEOUL TONIGHT FROM 6 PM TILL MIDNIGHT.

suddenly the boys were giggling and cheering.

"Hell yeah a storm! You guys wanna stay up and watch it?" Ten said enthusiastically.

"Totally! I'll go buy some snacks before it starts." Kun said standing up.

"I'll go with you." Xiao Jun said following kun to the door.

"This is gonna be epic!" Hendery laughed tackling ten to the ground in excitement.

Ten noticed however that the only one who didnt seem excited was yang yang.

"YangYang? Are you alright?"
Yangyang blinked quickly and turned his attention to ten.

"Oh... Yeah I'm fine! Sorry I was thinking Bout something."

"No problem." Ten smiled. "So lets get some pillows and blankets set up so we can watch the storm." All five of the remaining members stood up and went to their rooms to fetch pillows and blankets each quickly returning to the living room, except for yang yang.

"I wonder whats taking so long?" Lucas said as he dropped a handful of pillows to the floor.

"Maybe he has to do something, dont worry we'll get him before the storm starts." Ten said as he help spread out the blankets in front of the large window.

Soon kun and xiao Jun returned with three bags full of snacks and drinks. They layed them out on the ground and joined the others on the floor as the rain started.

"Wheres YangYang?" Kun asked opening a bag of chips.

"I don't know, I think hes busy with something but he'll probably come out soon." Ten responded.

Not long after, the thunder started. The living room was filled with shouts of joy from the excited boys.

"Ten! Go get YangYang he's missing this!" Lucas screamed.

Ten laughed as he got off of the floor and down the hall towards YangYangs bedroom.

He joyfully skipped up to the door and knocked.

"Baby yangyang! Come on you're missing the storm!" Ten teased.

A few seconds went by without an answer.

Tens eyebrow raised. He knocked again.

"Yang yang? Are you in there?" Ten pressed his ear to the door and was startled at what he heard.

"YangYang? Im coming in okay?"
Ten slowly opened the door to reveal a dark room and no sign of the younger.

He walked in further and stopped when he heard sniffles come from the corner.

"YangYang?" Ten walked over to a figure on the floor covered in a blanket.

He knelt down next to YangYang with a concerned and confused face.

"YangYang?" He asked as he gently removed the blanket from YangYang face.

Yang yang had tears streaming down his face, his hands covering his ears.

"Hey? YangYang?? What's wrong?!" Now ten was completely focused on YangYang forgetting about the others.

YangYang suddenly realized ten was with him and instantly felt embarrassed.

YangYang quickly wiped his face and hid it from ten.

"Hey hey YangYang? Whats going on? Why are you crying?"

"Oh...um don't worry about it... I'm fine." Yang yang said hiding his wet cheeks.

Just then a huge crack of thunder boomed through the sky.

YangYang instantly flinched hiding behind his blanket once again.

"Yangyang, you're shaking, just look at me and tell me whats wrong." Ten placed a gentle hand on yangyangs shoulder.

Another boom of thunder followed by a bright flash of lightening.

Yangyang flew himself into tens arms quivering in fear. Tears pouring down his cheeks.

"YangYang? Is it the storm buddy?" Ten asked as he wrapped his arms around the younger.

YangYang felt embarrassed as his tears continued to flow.

Ten held YangYang tighter.

"Yangyang? Why didn't you just tell me you were afraid of storms? I would've stayed with you." Ten rubbed yangyangs back.

"Cuz..its embarrassing ten...im 20 years old and still afraid of stupid thunderstorms..
YangYang sobbed into tens shoulder.

"Yangyang, you have nothing to be embarrassed about. Bud, none of us would ever judge you for something like this, especially me."

The thunder cracked through the city making the windows rattle. YangYang let out a small whimper as he clutched onto tens shoulders.

"Hey hey hey, its okay buddy, I've got you. Just focus on me okay?"

Ten reached into his pocket and grabbed his phone out of his pocket along with his ear buds. He plugged in the ear buds and clicked a calming playlist.

"Hey YangYang look at me."

YangYang raised his head, tears still rolling down his cheeks.

Ten gently placed the earbuds into yangyangs ears, the soft music filling YangYang s head.

YangYang exhaled in relief as the music played calming his panic.

Ten smiled as YangYang calmed down.

"Thank you ten."

"You dont have to thank me yangyang, I will always be here for you."
