Kissing in the rain with a proposal

'Today was meant to be the perfect evening ' Nathan thought as he looked out the window to see nothing but rain. He sighed wishing it was warmer so it could be the perfect proposal, "what's wrong?" youssef spoke softly from the doorway of the kitchen. Nathan turned to see him buried in one of his hoodies and looking extremely cozy. He could have fell to his knees and proposed right there on the spot at how adorable he looked "nothings wrong"he responded trying to keep his voice calm. Youssef got glimpse of the outdoors from where he stood and ran to the window. He looked outside as smile appeared on his face and a sigh left his lips. It was Nathan remembered how much Youssef loved rain and how it always calmed him. "Would you like to go on a walk and get coffee?" Nathan asked suddenly, shocking himself. Youssef turned to him and nodded with a bright smile and proceeded to run upstairs to get changed. Nathan couldn't help but chuckle at his boyfriends eagerness. While Youssef changed Nathan went to put his converse on and grabbed their coats. Youssef ran downstairs and quickly put his coat on as Nathan grabbed the umbrella. They stepped outside and Nathan opened the umbrella pulling youssef close to him to protect him from the rain. They walked hand the whole way to the cafe.

As they step into the cafe Youssef goes to order there coffee and cakes while Nathan puts the umbrella down. As youssef goes to pay Nathan quickly does its while he has the chance "my treat" he says to a pouting Youssef. They go and sit down, taking their coats off in the process, waiting for their coffee. While waiting they talk and while talking youssef runs  a hand through his damp hair causing Nathan to blush. "What was making you sad earlier and don't say nothing because I heard that sigh" Youssef asked once the coffee had arrived. Nathan took a sip of his thinking about how to respond "I had something planned but the weather kinda ruined it" he responded barely above a whisper. Youssef placed his hand on top of Nathan's giving him a soft smile. As they drunk and ate Nathan couldn't help but think about how much he wanted to propose. He felt a squeeze in his hand "you're staring" Youssef stated in an anxious tone. Nathan was quick to apologise knowing how his boyfriend felt about staring. Once they had finished everything they put on their coats and left. Hand in hand.

While on the walk home both had forgot about the umbrella in Nathan's pocket causing them to get soaked. Neither of them cared though as they walked through the dark rainy streets. Nathan watched his boyfriend with a warm smile on his face. They caught each other's gaze and blushed, leaning in they grabbed each other's face. It them a while to register the fact that they were kissing in the rain. As they pulled away Youssef chuckled "god that was so cheesy". Nathan looked down at him and couldn't help but think about how beautiful he looked soaked by the rain. The two of them quickly sped home holding hands, laughing at the events that had occurred.

Once they got home and locked the door the two ran upstairs to dry off and get changed into something more comfy.

Nathan watched as Youssef got frustrated trying to pull off his soaked jeans. Seeing the tears in his eyes Nathan quickly sat him on the edge of the bed and helped take them off. Youssef sat there blushing in his boxer as his boyfriend knelt in front of him. After they were off Youssef ran to Nathan's side of the wardrobe and stole one of his hoodies and grabbed some joggers from his own side. Nathan chuckled while heading downstairs to put a movie on. He sat down on the sofa when he footsteps coming down the stairs. He turns his head slightly to youssef in the doorway with several fluffy blankets in his arms. A smile spread on his face as he opened his arms and let Youssef climb into them, wrapping them both in the blankets. Once comfy he asked what they were watching  to which he was told "nightmare before Christmas", Nathan loved the way his eyes light up whenever they watched it. He also loved the way he would him along to all the songs without having to think. Sometimethrough the movie, Nathan had no idea what came over him but he whispered "marry me, please?". Youssef turned to him with wide eyes "really?" causing Nathan to stutter out any response possible. He was silenced with a kiss "would you like to ask me properly Nathan?" to which Nathan nodded and ran up the stairs to grab the ring. Youssef giggled at his boyfriends antics not realising that he had a whole plan and everything. Once Nathan came back down he climbed over the sofa and knelt in the soft rug beneath him. They both looked at each other blushing "Youssef Farouk, I love you so much and the life we now have together, will you marry me?" he said with the ring in hand. Youssef nodded while whispering "yes" as Nathan placed the ring on his finger as the sally song played behind them. While they kissed Nathan could feel Youssef humming along causing him to laugh. Nothing is gonna stop his ̴b̴̴o̴̴y̴̴f̴̴r̴̴i̴̴e̴̴n̴̴d̴̴ ̴ fiancé from humming along.
