Side Note for this chapter: Lauren's singing voice sounds like Coco Jones

Omniscient POV:

Birds chirped off in the eerie woods as the sun floated on the horizon, signaling daybreak. The entire log cabin held a candlelight silence and toasty warm temperature while the group of friends remained asleep. A warm vanilla aroma serenaded through the home, greeting one as he woke.

Wearing a sweatshirt, some pajamas pants, large monster house shoes, and a durag, Silas trailed into the kitchen. Opening the spacious refrigerator, he grabbed breakfast items and laid them out across the counter. Using the speaker he'd brought downstairs with him, he connected his phone, playing smooth jazz, and hummed along while starting preparations.

About thirty minutes later, a beaming Lauren waltzed cheerfully into the kitchen. She smiled to herself, seeing Silas in his own world and cooking what looked like enough food to feed 20 people.

"Y'know," the random appearance of her presence and voice made him jump. Lauren chuckled before continuing, "besides Sade, I don't think anyone else I know listens to music like this." She said referring to the song 'Experience' by Ludovico Einaudi playing at a low volume. Silas dropped his head, smiling,

"Well, it looks like you know two now huh?" She smiled back, walking over to peek at the food,

"Looks like it."

Closing her eyes, Lauren inhaled the intoxicating scent of fresh pancakes, bacon, maple syrup, and......fried chicken? They flew open and shot at Silas. "You're cooking chicken?" He laughed,

"Yeah, you never heard of chicken and waffles?"

"Well yeah, but I've never had any. Is it good?" She asked innocently. Silas gave her a look,

"Hunny. You're in for a rude, yet very delicious awakening. This here is my favorite dish, you'll see."

"Oh so you cook? Like culinary arts type cook?" Lauren's question prompted him to nod with a sly grin,

"Been in the game since age five hunny bun." She smiled,

"That's so cool. Kingston's lucky as shit. A chef for a boyfriend is a dream." He arched an eyebrow, looking at her as she sat across from him on one of the stools.

"You nd' Sade don't cook for each other?"

"Oh yeah, my girlfriend does in fact know her way around the kitchen. I too, am lucky as shit." She said simply, pointing at herself. Silas threw his head back in laughter, while stirring the eggs.

"It smells so good in here," Aria said walking into the kitchen, wearing a pair of shorts and Dylan's sweatshirt. "What you cooking Si?" She asked, hugging Lauren before sitting beside her.

"Oh just chicken and waffles, pancakes, bacon, eggs, grits-"

"Damn," Aria mumbled and Lauren nodded along,

"That's what I said."

Silas chuckled, "what? I wanted to provide options," he shrugged, grinning. The two girl friends glanced at each other knowingly,

"Mhm." Aria said.

He sighed dramatically, "Anywayy," he said before putting down the pan of bacon and looking at the two. "Miss Lauren." She furrowed her face in confusion, hearing his tone,

"What?"

Silas smirked, looking her up and down,

"We just gonna sit here and act like this glow isn't blinding to the human eye?"
