It was the next day and the deadline for Tokaku's a month grounded. That morning Saturday, Tokaku packed her clothes and personal belongings into her luggage while her school stuff into her sling bag. She was finished, zipping closed her luggage on the floor when suddenly her door room was knocked on.
"Come in." she allowed.
The door creaked open and Epel peeped at the door side." Have you finished packaging your stuff? " he asked the first thing when he entered his bestie girl's room.
"Yes," Tokaku replied, looking at her buddy.
Epel approached and crouched beside her." So you're ready to return to Octavinelle?" he asked.
"Of course. I miss my dorm." Tokaku answered.
"I'm sure you do. You like that place more than here." Epel said.
"It is the dorm that took me in after I ruined the orientation ceremony, sheltering, and where I met with Azul and the Leech brothers who take care of me. It is where I belong in this world." Tokaku explained.
Epel smiled, listening to his girl. Then, he elbowed her. "Hey, I know we always meet in class but I am going to miss your tutoring."
Tokaku reacted plainly but she elbowed back her buddy." You can go to my dorm if you need me to teach you your worst subject. I will ask for permission from Azul to reserve us a table at the Mostro Lounge."
Epel grinned." I hope Vil can let me go for that. "
"He must be. Or how can you ace your math anyway? " Tokaku said.
"You will be threatening him, right?" Epel guessed.
"I won't need to. He knew what's best for his residents." Tokaku replied.
"Bet he is. " Epel agreed.
Then, Tokaku raised to reach her books that were stacked on the desk, lifting them all in two arms. Suddenly, a book on the top stack dropped and fell to the floor.
"Let me get it! " Epel offered, quickly getting the book on the floor. When he picked it up, he saw the title which read 'Academy17 Yearbook'. Curious about the contents of the book, the lilac-haired freshman asked Tokaku when she was done inserting her other books inside her sling bag." Tokaku, what book is this?"
Tokaku turned and looked at the book her buddy held in his hand, recognizing it immediately." That was my yearbook when I graduated from my assassination training academy. " She answered him.
"Really? Can I see?" Epel asked permission.
Tokaku silenced for a moment, staring at her yearbook in Epel's hand before she agreed to allow him to look at her pictures from when she was a candidate in Academy17.
The two sat on her bed, Epel opened the yearbook, and both of the friends looked at many pictures of a middle school Tokaku during her time in Assassin Academy. They could see the same face Tokaku but with a shorter height at different backgrounds of training.
"Wow, your face is still the same as the time you were in middle school, Tokaku." Epel was amazed to see the pictures of his middle school friend.
"It is my height that only differs me from then till now," Tokaku said.
"How tall were you back then?" Epel asked.
"I was 160 centimeters back then. My height grew rapidly after four years of training to become an assassin." Tokaku explained.
"Four years?" Epel reflected, minus Tokaku's current age with the time of her training. "You went to training when you were 13?"
Tokaku nodded." But that was a professional and modern course when I was registered in Academy17. I started my assassin training when I was five years old."
