Synopsis: love at first sight, with Zack.

------------------

Everyday you would go to work at the boxing gym near your home. It was nothing fancy, but not too shabby for the part of town you lived in.

And each time you would go around the gym and pick up after other people, your eyes would wander around to a specific person. It didn't matter whether he was sparring or training, you could just say he caught your eye.

There would even be times when you swore he would look at you too, but it was probably just your imagination.

"[Y/n]!" You heard your boss calling for your attention. "Don't forget to put the gloves back on the shelves."

"Yes sir." You answered diligently, moving quickly to the back.

Your boss was an old man, but a kind one. He was strict a few times but not overbearing.

"Zack! You call that a punch?!" You heard him bickering.

"Huh??!" The boy with short black hair turned and glared at the old man.

They often went back and forth during times like these. You enjoyed listening to them.

But you and Zack ended up meeting eyes as he looked past his coach. And so, strangely enough, he turned around and went back to hitting the punching bag.

You couldn't help but feel confused but ignored it anyway.

Days like this one in particular made you question whether fate really did exist. Like you and him were meant to meet in that place.

The coach came up to you as you were working and handed you a water bottle.

You took it and tilted your head.

"Give this to him, would ya?" He asked you.

You nodded your head and made your way over to Zack.

You and him have been here for a pretty long time, so you were acquainted, just not very close or anything like that.

"Zack!" You called out to him and he looked your way. "Here." You handed the bottle to him and he thanked you.

He had been working himself all day long without many breaks. You were amazed at how much stamina he had.

"You should rest for a bit, let me get you a towel." You offered him.

"No thanks." He refused, his eyes trained on the swinging bag that he had been abusing for the past hour.

He was stubborn like this, even the coach couldn't make him sit still.

You didnt miss the red glow that appeared on his face, just like you didn't know how close you had gotten to him.

"Please?" You asked him. "If you over exert yourself then coach will get mad again."

He took his time to think, his eyes ended up locking with yours in the process before he swiftly avoided them.

"Okay, thank you." He smiled a small smile and took a seat on a folding chair.

You received a clean towel from the back of the gym and handed it to him, to which he thanked you again and started wiping the sweat off his body.

You started walking away until he called for you and pulled out another chair.

"Wanna talk?" He offered with a shy smile.

It didn't seem like he had much experience talking to girls, but his shyness at times is one of the things that attracted you to him.

"Sure." You replicated his smile, little did you know just how much that affected him as you sat opposite of him.

"What made you work here?" He asked curiously.

"Money?" You laughed as you answered. There wasn't much else to it, you didn't have any deep reasoning or anything.

Your flattering response made him laugh too.

"And what about you?" You teased. "What's so good about boxing?"

He chuckled and took another drink from his bottle. You watched as his Adam apple bobbed with each agonizing gulp he took.

He sighed with satisfaction as he finished, which made your mind finally straighten out.

"That's not really a simple question for me to answer.." he shrugged and leaned back.

You found his response amusing.

"Really?" You asked.

He just hummed in agreement, smiling as he looked at you.

The two of you sat there, talking about this and that comfortably. It was a soothing kind of conversation.

Although, he couldn't help but notice how you would check the time here and there. You were still on the clock, you had things you needed to get done. He didn't want to keep you, at least not in this way.

Eventually you had to go back to doing your daily chores, so you started making your way but stopped when Zack started talking again.

"Hey [y/n]?" He unconsciously reached out, as if he was trying to bring you back in front of him.

"Yes?" You looked over your shoulder, curious as to what occupied his mind.

"What's your type?" He blushed and looked away slyly. "In men."

Whenever he would tell this part specifically from his point of view, he would always paint the picture differently, trying to make himself looked more 'manly'.

You stood shocked, but flattered. He looked the opposite of his rough demeanor, like a cute boy talking to his first crush...

You taunted him with a smile.

"Tall, with short black hair, and one hell of a boxer."

You walked away.

When recounting the days you two were first falling in love with each other, to the moment that Zack asked you to be with him until the sky falls.

You always remembered that day in particular.
