Title: A Father's Comfort

Steve Rogers sat on the couch in the Avengers' common area, a book in hand as he enjoyed a rare moment of peace and quiet. The team had just finished a grueling mission, and everyone was either catching up on much-needed rest or tending to their injuries. As he turned the page, he felt a weight settle against his side, and he looked down to see Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, fast asleep with his head resting on Steve's shoulder.

Smiling softly, Steve carefully closed his book and set it aside, not wanting to disturb the slumbering teenager. He couldn't help but feel a surge of paternal warmth as he looked at the young hero, who had become like a son to him over the years. Peter had been through so much, and Steve was grateful for any moment he could spend with the boy, especially one as peaceful as this.

"Hey, Peter," Steve whispered, gently shaking the boy's shoulder. "You should go to bed, kiddo."

Peter mumbled something incoherent and burrowed closer to Steve, seeking warmth and comfort. Steve chuckled quietly and wrapped an arm around the boy, pulling him closer and letting him rest against his chest.

"I guess you're not going anywhere, huh?" Steve murmured, pressing a kiss to the top of Peter's head. "That's okay, I've got you."

As Peter drifted in and out of sleep, Steve couldn't help but think back to when he first met the young superhero. Tony Stark, Peter's adoptive father, had introduced them, and Steve had been instantly taken with the bright, eager teenager. Over time, they had formed a bond that was unbreakable, and Steve was grateful for every moment he got to spend with Peter.

"Hey, Cap," came a voice from the doorway, and Steve looked up to see Tony watching them with a soft smile. "Looks like someone's found a new pillow."

Steve chuckled and shook his head, adjusting his hold on Peter so the boy wouldn't slip off his shoulder. "I don't have the heart to wake him. He's had a rough week."

Tony nodded in understanding and walked over to sit on the other side of Peter, reaching out to ruffle the boy's hair. "He's lucky to have you, you know that, right?"

Steve smiled and nodded, feeling a swell of affection for the boy in his arms. "I'm lucky to have him, too."

As the three of them sat in comfortable silence, Steve couldn't help but feel grateful for the family they had formed within the Avengers. And as Peter snuggled closer, seeking the warmth and comfort of his fathers, Steve knew that there was nowhere else he'd rather be.
