"___, can you help me with something?" Sugawara's palms were coated with a layer of sweat and nervousness was pulling at him.

"Sure, what's up?" ___ smiled gently.

"W-well..." He scratched his head. "So... I like..."

Woah, woah, woah. Is he actually gonna confess?! Sugawara, ___'s best friend, is going to confess to her.

"(Sister's name)."

He sighed with relief. Probably because he got the words out of his mouth.

"Oh... So you're asking me to somehow get you two closer?"

He nodded.

"Ok, sure. I'll try."
"Really?! Thanks ___!"
"No prob..."

___ could never felt 100% comfortable around Sugawara. She either felt butterflies in her stomach or her legs felt like jelly. There were 2 possible reasons. 1, she had feelings for him. 2, she was allergic to him. The best possible reason was probably the first one but ___ felt that it was just some minor infatuation. So, she pushed those feelings aside and stayed as his best friend for 3 whole years now.

"So... (Sister's name) likes to get flowers for her birthday, preferably roses..." ___ tapped her chin and went further into the thoughts in her mind. "And her birthday's this Saturday. You can come visit us if you want." She just wanted to see him more.

"Wow, Thanks ___!"
"Uh... She also like guys who'll put up with her rants and she's a fan of Captain America."

___ continued sharing facts about her Sister with Sugawara.

Every time he laughed when she told him the embarrassing moments of her Sister, she couldn't help but feel slightly irritated. Not because of the laugh itself but because he wasn't laughing at ___. He was laughing at her Sister.

The day soon came where ___'s family set up a mountain of decorations, mostly blue because that was her sister's favourite colour.

As expected, Sugawara paid them a visit with a rose in hand.

"This is for you, (Sister's name)..." He awkwardly placed it in her hands and kissed her knuckles.

"Oh what a gentleman..." ___'s mother sighed. 

"(Sister's name)?"

She hummed in response.

"I like you, please go out with me!" He bowed his head, not only because it was a sign of respect but also to hide his face which was exploded in red.

"Omg, yes!"

___ clenched her fist. Her heart felt heavy and her chest hurt. She could feel a tiny lump in her throat and all of a sudden, ___ felt like crying. The tears threatened to come out but she forced them back, excusing herself then breaking down in her room.

The next few days, ___ had to hold in the pain and envy she felt whenever she saw Sugawara and (Sister's name) hanging out together and doing what couples did.

If I only I had noticed it sooner, if only I had let go of my pride and admitted that I loved you. I may not have been suffering so much right now.

If only she had found out sooner that she had fell for him, she would've stopped him from unknowingly hurting her.

It really hurts, her heart was broken, without anyone knowing and she bore the pain herself in case her mother made her feel worse like every other time.

If only... I didn't love you.
