I can't escape this hell

So many times I've tried

But I'm still caged inside

Somebody get me through this nightmare

I can't control myself

I stared at him, my lips pulled into a smirk, a song that perfectly explains how I feel, right at this moment, breeching my thoughts

Trapped in my own mind, locked up in my memories.

Don's idea was a load of bull. If I had been in the right frame of mind, I would have realized that liquefied laughing gas would react negatively with the Omega 2 and 3 mixture in my blood.

But nooooooo, I just had to let my emotions cloud my judgment.

I remember the last time I got a dose of this particular version of the gas.

'Ugh,' I groaned, placing my other hand on my forehead, suddenly feeling nauseous.

'It think I need to sit down,' I announced to no one in particular, my head spinning as I stumbled into a chair, trying to regulate my breathing.

I wiped the blood trailing down my chin with my clenched fist.
'Okay then,' I slumped in a chair, tapping my fingers on the armrest.

My eyes moved to Batman as I raised a brow at him, questioning his actions as he walked towards me.

He grabbed me by the wrist, hefting me off the seat.

'What did you do?' He growled at me.

I smiled wryly, launching my closed fist into his shoulder,

He stumbled back in shock, relinquishing his hold.

'No touching,' I pointed out, flexing my wrist.

'Alright, steady your bow, keep your feet parallel to the—'

'Sai, I know how to use a bow.' I whined, cutting him off.

'Okay, okay,' He shrugged in surrender.

Drawing back the string, I focused on my target.

'Any day now would be nice,' Sai complained, crossing his arms.

At that moment I released the string, letting the arrow fly.

With a thud, his body fell to the floor.

'Shadow?' Batman called, snapping me out of my thoughts.

'Hmm,' My eyes focused on him,

'Oh'. I said, opening my fist, revealing a vial filled with a red liquid.
