MONDAY.

She's kind of excited to see Arq today. She's already finished working on their contract, and she's planning to make her sign it. Arq already told her that as soon as she's done she can approach her about that. And that is what she's going to do.

Kaya eto na siya ngayon, papunta sa fourth floor dahil sinabihan siya nito na doon sila magkita.

Habang naglalakad ay naalala niya 'yong list ni Arq. Napagtanto niyang hindi naman pala nakaka-intimidate ang mga kondisyon nito matapos niyang mabasa ang buong listahan. Sa katunayan ay may ilang mga bagay na sang-ayon siya rito kaya hindi na siya makikipagtalo pa ukol doon.

Nang makaakyat sa fourth floor ay napahawak siya nang mahigpit sa folder na dala. Kapag napirmahan na ni Arq ang ginawa niyang kontrata ay talagang may boundries na sila. Hindi na niya pwedeng bigyang-kahulugan ang mga bagay na ginagawa nito sa kanya. Siya naman ang pasimuno sa kontrata kaya kailangan niyang panindigan ang mga kondisyon nila.

As she reached the room, she caught Arq peacefully observing one art piece. Even from the side view, she could see how serious her face was. She didn't want to disturb her nor did she want to stay stuck staring at her because Arq would surely get mad.

She clears her throat.

"Come on in," Arq responded, coldly.

Tuluyan na siyang pumasok sa loob ng silid, at ramdam niya ang malamig nitong awra. Tumayo ito mula sa kinauupuan para lang lumipat sa isang desk kaya sumunod siya.

"Let me see," Arq said as soon as she had taken her seat, extending her hand towards her.

Inabot niya  iyon atsaka rin siya naupo kaharap nito.

She feels nervous as Arq starts to read. Her hands are even sweating all of a sudden. And the silence of the surroundings even adds to the awkwardness.

"Hmm..." Arq mumbles. Her flinty eyes met hers.

She's expecting her to say something but instead, Arq quietly signs the contract. For some inexplicable reason, she looks away. Why does it make her feel doleful?

Siya naman ang gumawa ng ganitong kontrata pero parang gusto na niyang bawiin ngayon lalo pa't nakikita niya ang kagustuhan ni Arq na sundin iyon.

°Medyo magulo ka, Lara. Hindi ko na alam kung ano'ng gusto mo.°

"Here," pukaw nito. Nang mapatingin siya rito ay inaabot na nito ang nakatiklop na folder. "Well, it seems that we already have an understanding. I've got my copy of this contract, and so did you. Hindi na siguro tayo mahihirapang intindihin ang isa't isa, tama?"

Napalunok siya atsaka marahang tumango. "O-oo..."

"Good." Tango-tango rin nitong sabi.

She ought to go to her class after the signing and she wants to leave now, especially when they both fell into an awkward silence. She can't endure the quiet surroundings with Arq.

She's about to stand up when Arq asks, "Have you had your breakfast?"

Tumango siya.

"Ano'ng oras klase mo?"

"Nine thirty."

"Hmm..." Arq mumbles while glancing at her wristwatch. "You still have less than fifteen minutes. Tara." She stated before standing up from her seat.

Napatingin siya rito. "Sa'n tayo pupunta?"

"Pantry. Nagugutom ako." Sagot nito habang naglalakad palagpas sa kanya.
