TREMBLING knees accompany her down the corridor, leading to Savage's office in the building.  Despite her efforts to hold back, the truth remains—she genuinely wants to go. No matter how much she hates Arq, the sensation of missing her takes over. She won't even disagree if everybody thinks that she's stupid.

Her heart rate intensifies as soon as she's standing in front of the office. She must drop the hypocrisy because she knows well that the other two summoned students won't be there.

It will only be her and Arq.

Tatlong beses muna siyang kumatok bago pumasok sa loob kung saan sinalubong siya ng katahimikan. Doon niya napatunayang tama ang hinalang wala roon ang dalawa pang estudyante. Bukod doon ay wala talagang tao sa opisina kaya nagpasya siya hindi na lang tumuloy.

Just as she's about to turn around, the door from the connecting room unexpectedly opens, revealing Arq, who has her phone pressed to one ear and appears equally surprised by her presence. 

"Okay. I'll call you back, later," she stated before ending the call. She then redirected her full attention toward her. "Uhh.. have a seat, La- Miss Fernandez." She invited, but her voice slightly trembled.

There's a moment of reluctance before she completely enters the room and sits on a chair in front of Arq's desk. As Gigi's reminder comes to mind, she consciously averts her gaze from becoming solely fixed on Arq.

Nang tumikhim ito ay hinintay niya kung saan magsisimula ang kanilang pag-uusap. Ngunit hindi naman ito nagsalita. Lalo lamang nadaragdagan ang tensyon sa pagitan nilang dalawa habang nananatili silang magkasama.

Pakiramdam niya ay nasasakal siya.

"Lara..."

She almost chokes after hearing Arq. It feels like an eternity since she last heard her calling her by her first name. And Arq's ability to overpower her emerges, compelling her to turn and meet her gaze.

Tinawag niya ba 'ko sa pangalan ko? Sa isip-isip niya.

°Oo, Lara! E, ano naman kung tinawag ka na niya sa pangalan mo?° Pagsusungit ng kanyang ego.

Parang gustong lumundag ng puso niya mula sa kanyang dibdib papunta kay Arq habang nakatingin dito. Kung bakit ba naman sa simpleng pagtawag nito sa pangalan niya ay ibang klaseng pakiramdam na ang dulot sa kanya. Parang gusto na niyang maniwala kay Gigi na hindi beast si Arq, kundi isang witch!

"Lara, I... I actually called you here for a little talk. I'm sorry. Wala na kasi akong ibang maisip na paraan para makausap ka." Pag-amin nito.

Sa totoo lang ay hindi niya alam kung ano pa ang dapat maramdaman. Kitang-kita niya ang sinseridad sa mga mata nito.

°Tapos ako kinakalimutan mo na! 'Yong galit mo rin, wala na naman. Haist, Lara.° Naiiling na sabi na lang ng kanyang ego.

"I know, it's rude but I still want to know, kumusta ka na?" Tanong nito sa malambing na tinig.

Oh, Arq. Stop it!

°No, Lara! Stop yourself from feeling that way!° Saway na naman ng kanyang ego na kunwari ay hinahampas siya ng mga dahon-dahon na para siyang sinasapian.

Realizing she's falling into her soft mood, she raises an eyebrow and puts on a stoic front, even breaking into derisive laughter. "Oh my gosh! Hindii mo ba nakikita? Okay ako. Okay ako, Arq." She responded with apparent sarcasm.
