Present...

"ARQ!"

Regardless of her blurry vision due to the seemingly endless falling of her tears, she still discerns the identity of the person who just shouted her name.

The existence of that familiar presence is the very last thing she would have wished for. With its arrival, the dreadful aura now permeates the surroundings.

A sudden gunshot causes her heart to pause momentarily, seemingly muffling her sense of hearing and casting an immediate hush over the surroundings.

Once she regains her presence of mind, that's when she fully comprehends the unfolding situation.

The sound of a panicked voice immediately grabs her attention.  "Arq! Si Lara!"

Andy and Pearl come into view, engaged in aiding someone on the ground. She almost collapses upon seeing that they are tending to Lara. The presence of bloodstains on her uniform serves as undeniable proof that she's the one who has been shot.

Sa totoo lang hindi niya alam kung ano ang kanyang unang gagawin; kung lalapitan ba si Lara o hahabulin ang taong bumaril dito. Sa  sobrang gulat niya sa pangyayari ay tila ba napako na lang siya sa kinatatayuan.

"Arq! Heellp!" Andy yelled once more, trying to get her attention. She's attempting to carry Lara by herself.

Getting back to the reality, she hurries towards them.

As her senses returned, she ran towards them. Horrified, she gazes at Lara's bloodied and limp form on the ground. Her eyes are partially open as she kneels down before her.

Holding Lara's head in her hands, she gently taps her face, urging her to stay awake. "Lara! Lara! Don't close your eyes, please!" She pleads before casting desperate glances at the onlookers and implores, "Call for help, please! Call an ambulance!"

Sa kabila ng malakas na buhos ng ulan, ramdam pa rin niya ang mainit na mga luhang patuloy lamang sa pagpatak mula sa kanyang mga mata. Sa muli niyang pagbaling kay Lara ay nakita niyang nakapikit na ito kaya lalo siyang nataranta.

"Lara! Honey, please! Stay with me!"

Ramdam niya ang pagbagal ng oras at sa bawat minutong nakahandusay si Lara, nadaragdagan ang kanyang pangamba na baka hindi na ito mailigtas pa. Kaya mabilis pero may pag-iingat niya itong kinarga. Tila hindi na niya naramdaman ang bigat nito, at para pa nga siyang lumipad patungo sa kanyang sasakyan.

"I'll drive, Arq!" Andy hollered behind.

Mabilis niyang inabot dito ang susi ng kanyang sasakyan. Pagsakay nila'y kaagad humarurot sa pagmamaneho si Andy. Hindi na siya nangamba sa paraan ng pagmamaneho nito. Kung siya rin naman ang magmamaneho'y tiyak na mas mabilis pa.

While holding Lara's half-body in her lap she notices that her heartbeat is faltering. "Lara! Honey! Don't leave me, please!" She wails.

"Arq... G-gisingin mo siya, please," nanghihina man pero mariing utos ni Andy.

She's doing her utmost to keep Lara awake, but the fatality of the gunshot wound makes her also aware that Lara is struggling to cling to life.

Lalong naging mabilis ang kanyang pagkilos nang marating na nila ang ospital. Pagbaba pa lamang ng sasakyan ay maagap na silang sinalubong ng ilang staff. Inihiga niya sa gurney si Lara at parang ayaw pa niya itong bitawan hanggang sa may pumigil na sa kanya bago pa man siya tuluyang makapasok sa emergency room.
