2.40 "It Hurts!"

Inside. 

Caroline and i had brought Stefan's body inside and put him on the sofa. I was sitting on the sofa table with his hand in mine. Tears were still rolling down my cheeks but i could control my sobs. 

Caroline sat down next to me. I couldn't stop looking at Stefan. 

I heard Elena " Oh, my God. Stefan! "

Caroline sobbed "I didn't know where to bring him, and I just couldn't leave him outside. Bonnie has a plan, right? She—she said that she could bring people back. "

No one responded. 

Caroline begged "Tell me that she can bring him back!"

I could feel Damon's eyes on me "We'll bring him back. Come on. Let's get away from prying eyes."

Damon went to touch Stefan's body but i pushed his hands away. 

Damon asked Caroline "What is with her?"

Caroline sighed "she hasn't moved or said a word since we brought him inside"

Damon sighed and he put a hand on my shoulder and kneeled down in front of me. 

He said softly "princess, hey, look at me"

I kept looking at Stefan. 

Damon begged "please, Ad"

His hand moved to my cheek and he made me look at him. 

Damon pleaded "please"

He had to hold back tears himself. 

I shook my head.

Damon nodded "Adelaide, please"

I shook my head. 

Damon pleaded "listen to me, baby, okay? I won't harm him, i promise, just let go of him for a second, please"

I shook my head. 

Damon voice broke "Adi, you can do it. let go of him, okay? please"

Caroline walked over to me and kneeled down on the other side of me. 

Damon "grab onto Caroline's hand, okay? take her hand, don't let go, please"

Caroline slowly grabbed my hands in her hands and i let her. 

I nodded in tears. 

Damon nodded and kissed the side of my head "good, you're doing good, princess"

Then he picked up Stefan's body and walked out with it. 

Stefan's gone. He's dead.

Caroline gave me a quick hug  "I'll be right back"

I nodded. 

She and Elena left.

I stood up and walked to the cabinet. I grabbed a bottle of Alcohol and and took a sip from it. 

He's dead. 

I threw the bottle against a wall, making it break. 

I screamed in pain and kicked a chair, making it fly against the fireplace. I grabbed a vase and threw it to the ground. 

Suddenly i heard "Adelaide!"

I looked up and saw Damon looking at me with concern. 

I cracked out "I told him we're toxic"

Damon made a step to me but i stepped back. 

I sobbed out "The last thing i said to him was that we're toxic"
