2.108 "We Are In This Together"

Stefan and i were walking through a park. 

Me "What did that stone do to you, Stefan?"

Stefan "It was living hell, angel"

I nodding understanding "why did you attack that waiter?"

He looked down as we kept walking.

Me "Has it something to do with the nightmares? was it the same thing that is haunting you in your nightmares?"

Stefan looked at me surprised "how do you know that?"

Me "I don't sleep anymore. Besides, i know you, Stefan. I can tell when something's off with you "

Stefan smiled a little but it faded "I saw Damon trying to stake you back there"

I asked confused "But why would you see something like that?"

Stefan looked down.

I stopped walking "Stefan"

He sighed and turned around to me.

Me "talk to me"

Stefan "Bonnie got me out of there so fast because i let go"

Me "what did you do? what did you let go of, Stefan? "

Stefan "It's not what, angel, it's who"

My eyes widened "It wanted you to let go of Damon"

He nodded looking down.

Me "But now he's haunting you"

He nodded.

I sighed "Why didn't you tell me?"

Stefan chuckled dry "really? angel, you obviously had to deal with your own hell"

I sighed and hugged him.

He hugged me back .

Me "You let go of your brother"

I let go of him "you had no choice"

Stefan "are you mad?"

I shook my head "no"

Stefan "are you disappointed?"

I shook my head "you had no choice, Stefan, you had no choice"

Stefan nodded.

I looked around.

Stefan "Are you going to tell me what's going on with you or do you want me to guess?"

Me "be my guest"

Stefan took a deep breath "You don't have it under control anymore, that's why you didn't leave the house or left the room every time Bonnie had nose bleeds"

I sighed "You have no idea what i went through, Stefan"

Then i sat down on a bench. 

He sat down next to me "Tell me"

I just looked at my heels.

Stefan asked confused  "Adelaide, what are you so afraid of that you can't tell me what happened?"

I just looked down.

Stefan "do you think my feelings for you will change after you told me? because they won't. My feelings won't change"

I shook my head "Your feelings changing for me wouldn't hurt me as much as-"

I cut myself off.

Stefan"as much as what?"

I didn't answer.

Stefan "as much as what, Adelaide?"
