I asked shocked "What the hell do you mean with Damon's gone? "

Elena "As in dead or as in thin air?"

Stefan" Oop. Careful. You just sounded genuinely concerned for my brother."

Elena rolled her eyes "I don't have feelings for him anymore. That doesn't mean I want him to blink out of existence."

Stefan" He didn't. It's some sort of cloaking spell. Alaric's on the phone with Jo trying to figure out how to break it."

Elena" And to think we could have all been sitting around stuffed, playing board games."

Stefan "So just to be clear, Jo was invited to Friends-giving, but I wasn't."

I rolled my eyes and walked back to the table. I poured myself a glass of wine.

Elena "Friend code states that in matters such as yours and Adelaide's I must, with no exception, take the side of my friend."

Stefan " i get why Adelaide doesn't want me there but Caroline?"

Elena "you know, Caroline, you mess with Adi you mess with her"

Stefan"Huh."

Elena" Can you two just kiss and make up? It's getting weird."

I rolled my eyes "if it only were that simple"

Stefan " You're just mad because no one knew how to carve the turkey."

Elena laughed and hung up. 

I walked back to Elena who gave me my phone back. 

Elena"Can i ask you a question?"

I took a sip of the wine "yeah?"

Elena "How did you know that you could trust him?"

Me " Trust who with what?"

Elena"1864. You compelled Stefan to forget your vampire face but would you have compelled him if Katherine wouldn't have been?"

I shook my head "i would've trusted him"

Elena asked confused "How did you know that you could trust him with such a huge secret?"

Me "Because i loved him. I wanted him to know everything. "

Elena looked at Liam who looked back and smiled at her. 

Me "He's cute but i'm still Team Damon, though"

She rolled her eyes.

Suddenly Jo started to stumble forward. Liam, Elena and i ran to her. I downed the wine and put the glass on the table. 

Elena asked worried " Jo, what's wrong?"

Jo" I think my dad..."

Elena "Jo, what the hell is going on?"

Jo grabbed her head and groaned in pain "My dad's trying to kill me."

Liam asked confused "What the hell is she talking about? Her dad's trying to kill her?"

I heard Ric's voice " Jo, Jo, answer the phone."

I picked up the phone "Ric?"

Alaric" Adi", what the hell's going on?"

Me "Something's happening to Jo. You have to find her dad and stop him from whatever he's doing to her."

Stefan" Well, that's gonna be problem because even if we could see the house I haven't been invited in."

I held the phone out to Jo "Invite him in."

Jo"You can come in!"

Alaric" But we can't even see the damn house."

Jo" They need magic!"

She started coughing blood " Crap."

Liam" Elena, we have to do something. Definite signs of hemoptysis."

Jo hissed "Shut up, Liam. "

She looked at me " Ask them if they see an old tree stump in the front yard?"

Stefan nodded " Yeah, I see it."

Jo " Go there now!"

Then she started convulsing and fell to the ground.

Elena "She's crashing!"

Liam" Dr. Laughlin, look at me"

Elena "Jo, can you hear me? Jo!"

Liam" Come on, Dr. Laughlin. Please wake up"

He looked at Elena "heck for dilation"

Elena pulled open the lids of Jo's eye; the sclera was blood-red. Elena and Liam sat back, shocked.My eyes widened. 

Liam "Holy crap. What the... what happened to her?"

Elena shook her head "I don't know."

Liam" Call 9-1-1. I'll start CPR."

Elena stood up but didn't move. 

Liam "Call 9-1-1, Elena. We need help. She's about to die."

Elena and i looked at each other. 

Me "you or me?"

Elena shook her head " Liam... Liam, there's not enough time."

She bit in her wrist.

Liam asked confused " What are you doing?"

Elena crouched beside Jo and fed her her blood.

Liam's eyes widened " Elena, your face."

Elena nodded" It's OK. My blood will heal her."

Liam watched Elena. 

Jo gasped and woke up.

Elena "Jo?"

I raised an eyebrow. 

Jo breathed out " I'm OK."

I breathed out relieved. 

Elena" I'll get you some water."

Elena stood up and walked away. Liam followed her. 

Night. 

I sat down on the sofa with a bottle of wine in my hand. 

I rook a sip of the bottle when i heard my phone ring.

I looked at it.
