A/N- This imagine is based loosely on the song God is a Woman by Ariana Grande. Sorry it's a little short but I hope you enjoy it.

You chuckled as your youngest daughter, Sophia, pulled at your leg, smiling up at you with the cheesy, gap-filled, grin you had grown to know and love. She was only a year and a half old but already she was her own little personality, laughing and babbling along to herself with little care for whether you or Sam were truly paying attention to her. You leant down, scooping her up into your arms and pressing a light kiss to the side of her head and she simply continued in her unrecognisable conversation with you.

You crossed the room, placing her into her high chair and sliding it to sit opposite you at the island in the centre of the kitchen. Her babbling finally came to a stop as you did as you were told, giving her a view of what you were doing as you made the dinner. You returned to your spot, slicing through a bell pepper quickly and easily, as you had done so many times before. Once you were done with it you leant across the surface and handed one of the slices to your daughter, chuckling when her face lit up. "So that's what you were so excited for, huh?" you mumbled to her, watching as she chewed on the veggies with a smile on her face.

"Mumma," your oldest daughter, Joanne, called to you from her spot at the table, her colouring pencils all spread out around her.

"Yes, baby?" you answered her softly, putting the other veggies to the side and continuing with the rest of the food prep for your family dinner. You had always made an effort to have a proper family dinner as often as Sam's work would allow, but tonight was the first time he would be able to eat with all of you for almost a fortnight, and you were excited to have him back with you.

"What time is daddy getting home?" she asked and you smiled softly, placing the knife back on the chopping board and coming to stand beside her, glancing down at her drawings.

"He'll be back any minute now," you told her, leaning down and pressing a light kiss to the top of her hair, and then glancing up at your son, Noah, who was happily scratching his pencils across the paper, creating a scribbled mess of colours. "Why don't you guys clean all of this up and make the table?"

Noah pouted at your words but began to put his pencils back in their case, placing the sheets of paper into a pile before slipping out of his seat and over to the cupboard where the knives and forks were kept.

You made your way back to the island, pushing all of the veggies into a pan and adding some chopped tomatoes to start the pasta sauce recipe that you now knew back to front. Your kids weren't fussy, but when you found something they all liked it was a good idea to learn it back to front, and there had never been a single complaint about pasta. You added the pasta shapes to some water on the stove and helped the kids get some water glasses out of one of the higher cupboards. Once the kids had finished you were smiling again. "Thank you," you told them softly, "now go wash your hands, dinner will be ten minutes."

They were out of the room before you could say another word, and you chuckled as you glanced over at Sophia, who had began babbling once again, waving her hands around like she was having an argument that no one else fully understood. Your smile only grew when you heard the front door open, and Sam's voice called into the house. "I'm home," he started, pausing for a moment when he heard no response, "and I brought presents," he added, causing a thundering of footsteps to come down the stairs. You heard him let out a grunt as the kids launched themselves at him, and you quickly lifted Sophia out of her seat and onto your hip, following the sounds into the hallway.

"Hey," you murmured, leaning closer to Sam to give him a quick kiss, "I missed you," you continued, watching as smile spread across his lips as he reached his arms out for his, now squealing, daughter, who happily clung to him once she was in his grip.

"I missed you too," he told you as you started back towards the kitchen, the children hoping happily around him as he followed close behind you, watching as you started to drain the pasta. "That smells so good," he groaned softly, "you have no idea how quickly fast food gets old if you have it every night," he added, causing you to chuckle.

"Sometimes I think you forget that we met through work," you laughed, adding the sauce to the pasta and stirring it all together, "I lived that fast food life too."

He smirked as he watched you, "You're right, I do forget," he murmured, "damn, you've gotta be some kind of goddess." You laughed again, bringing the food over to the table only to find them all in their seats and waiting for you with smiles on their faces. "I don't know how you do it all," he added as you took your own seat, placing food on each plate before handing it over to the kids.

"Practise," you told him, taking a sip of your drink before starting on your food. You smiled before you could even take a bite of your food, "Or perhaps I am a God, and these are my sweet little Demi-Gods."

All of them laughed, though you were certain that Noah knew what he was laughing at in any way. Sam swallowed his mouthful before giving you a toothy grin, not too different to the one Sophia had been giving you just a few minutes earlier. "I always thought God was a woman," he told you softly, "there is no way a man could have made children as cute as ours."
